Slurping Oysters, Loads of Laundry, Sore Back &....

 Covid19

October 2, 2020

I spent most of the day sorting, washing, drying & folding loads and loads of laundry. Some of it dirty clothes we wore and others more seasonal clothes that are brought out to wear in these & colder temps that are coming. In any case the standing around sorting and folding gave me one helluva sore back. I don't know what to take for it or do for it, so am just suffering it out.

Meanwhile for some of the afternoon before supper, I watched my husband have fun shucking a bunch of oysters, to slurp down with a little lemon juice, as an appetizer before supper. 😋😋😋😋 Mmmmm Yummmm. I also blanched the carrots we got from the garden yesterday, to freeze for winter. Then we had salad and spaghetti for supper and raspberry coconut squares for dessert.

We kept the oyster shells in order to try to get to some of the mother of pearl lining the insides. If we can, maybe I can incorporate some of it into some of the things I like to make and maybe even in some of the polymer clay jewellry I like making, just to give it a little something extra. Anyhow, it'll give us something to do on a cold winter's day when there's nothing else to do, trying to chisel the outer shell away from the inner mother of pearl coating.  Maybe it's do-able with a dremel like tool or something similar (we have several possible different tools we could use here). Anyhow it'll be worth a try, if nothing else it'll have filled a few hours of what would've otherwise only been filled with boredom.

Especially  since we're permanently under lockdown now, so there's only so many times you can play a board or card game before getting bored, or watch so many hours of TV before your eyes are rolling back in your head and Lord only knows I don't need to cook anymore. We're already suffering from that, though I suppose we could go buy rolling paper, some weed, a good book on cooking with weed and have new blasts that way, since it's legal here. We've already tried several concoctions of alcohol beverages of varying strengths. I even made my own liqueurs, that we guzzled. So been there and done that....

So um yeah scratching outer shells off inner mother of pearl shells will definitely be different, at least for a few minutes of time anyhow. Can you tell we're tired of lockdown already? And getting bored to death, when we have time to? 😉

Now to try to get to some of the COVID19 headlines, which are causing my bookmark file to bulge now (no seriously, my bookmark file is so loaded with headlines it's taking forever to load or bookmark anything now). So one of these days I've seriously got to find time to post as many as I can, if I can. Anyhow I'm going to try to unburden it a bit now..... So stick around and get comfortable.....

Here in Canada we're told by the government we have to wear them, but no government agency is sending any out to us, that I know of.

Momentum for Basic Income Builds as Pandemic Drags On  This is probably one of the reasons we have the plandemic and they're trying to crash the economies..... To introduce these basic income programs that they've tossed around for years now, but never implemented because there was too much backlash from those who had good paying jobs and thus paid higher taxes than others. They didn't want to be taxed even more in order to cover the cost of this program. Now that everyone's lost their jobs and they all want an income, this is starting to look pretty good to some.

That's nuts! Anyone investing that much money in a rare plant, better have some knowledge about what they're doing if not a degree in botany, otherwise it can be a pretty quick loss of money if they don't. Some plants are so finicky they  don't even like being moved from one area of the house to another and wilt and die in no time because of it, so imagine plants like that who are taken from one location (like a store or greenhouse in the area) to another like the buyer's home, what might result from that.

Well, well, well, an actual mainstream science media site that's finally admitting what so-called "conspiracy theorist doctors" said months ago. Back then they were labelled crazy and not to be believed.

Study: Nearly one in 10 COVID patients return to hospital within week of being released from ER Okay well the ER is where most walk-in off the street patients go first. They're first seen by someone in ER and if deemed serious enough for admission are admitted there, otherwise they're treated and discharged - maybe with further instructions - like a referral to a specialist or a prescription they have to take, or something like that. But a lot of ER doctors are interns - ie: Student Doctors, who may or may not have a clue about what they're doing like all students of all subjects - some get it right away, others do eventually and some never do. Same thing for med students. So it depends on the doctor you see in ER and how they assess you based on their knowledge. My mother who had a massive stroke was turned away from an ER in Montreal because of clueless idiots that got their licenses out of cracker jack boxes. So as a result she died. So it's no different here with COVID19. Lots of clueless doctors could be on duty and it's the bad luck of these patients to have run into them when they went to the ER initially, that caused them to have to return within a week. Not all doctors or nurses for that matter know what they're doing half the time. Plenty of them are clueless wonders that passed their exams by the skin of their teeth.

Attention cat owners!

Scientists capture extraordinary images of SARS-CoV-2 infecting human airway cells I would've thought this would've been one of the first thing they would've tried to do in order to figure out how to treat it.

Seasonal? As in which season exactly because around here the seasons don't seem to make a difference to it.

Calls for Van Morrison to be stripped of city honour I'm not a big fan of this droner, but in this case I agree with him against the city.

Quoting the article now:

Another song references a widely-shared Facebook post, of a screenshot from a UK government website saying, "Covid-19 is no longer considered to be a high consequence infectious disease (HCID) in the UK".

While it is true that Covid-19 does not meet the criteria for an HCID - which typically has a high fatality rate (as much as 50% in the case of Ebola) - the disease is still considered highly infectious, with no specific vaccines or treatment currently available.

------ Me here again ------ Take note of the paragraph immediately above this, and wonder when's the last time we had a lockdown because of the common cold which is highly infectious too and for which we have no vaccines against (some colds can be lethal when they go beyond being just a cold and progress to bronchitis and then pneumonia). So by those standards shouldn't we be shutting down schools, businesses and society in general everytime cold season is upon us?

For those wanting to hear the 1st of the 3 songs (that's the only one released so far) you may do so here: Born to Be Free

Van Morrison accuses government of trying to 'enslave' public in new anti-lockdown songs Which you just heard above - if you listened to it.

Fact check: Post online misstates Sturgis Rally's coronavirus cases

Sorry to burst your COVID-19 'social bubble' but even small gatherings are getting riskier  Rigghhhttt.... So then why is it okay to send kids to school and for people to go to work in the same building together? Most people who don't work in offices work doing other things like working on assembly or production lines of some kind, or warehousing, or perhaps R&D where techs work closely together maybe in confined quarters, firemen, cops, and a large number of other professions like hair stylists, therapists, dentists, optometrists, etc.... are working together with colleagues and with clients. In the case of dentists, hair stylists, optometrists etc, they're working super close to the face of the "client" and for longer than a couple of minutes usually. So why is it alright for all of those interactions with people in small or large groups, but not with friends and family?????? Trying to disrupt our social bonds that we have with our friends and family maybe?

Pfizer vaccine trial bets on early win against coronavirus, documents show

'This is going to bankrupt me': Americans rack up $45B worth of medical debt in collections Fellow Canadians this story ought to make you appreciate our medicare system if nothing else does. At least this plandemic won't be bankrupting up because of needing to be treated for it.  I have to wonder if this too was a part of the plan when they planned this plandemic out - bankrupting the Americans that wind up having to be hospitalized because of it.

Why Rich Americans Are Fleeing To The Caribbean This Winter

Study may be first to show coronavirus can spread from animals to humans Really???? So then this was made in a lab if it didn't spread from animal to human as we were led to believe!?! I mean what are bats and pangolins then if not animals? It's time the scientists and powers that be started  getting their facts together and acting in accordance with what they're preaching to the rest of us. So what is it? Lab made or a virus that crossed species????

Public Health Agency of Canada president resigns as COVID-19 cases spike

Too bad it wasn't that criminally negligent genocidal beitch Tam that resigned instead of the other one.

(Grrrrr I don't know what's going on with the blogger now, but it doesn't want to do a proper line break when I hit enter. Instead it skips a line, or for that matter why it is that we have a hard time being able to type on the same line after a link without having it turn blue and underlined and made to look like it's also part of the link - or why I had to fight with it the other night after adding the picture at the top of the page, to try to get the cursor back so I could add content to the post - there's still a lot of obvious glitches in this version but unfortunately the older more reliable version has been yanked - guess they haven't heard the saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it", as the older version wasn't broke - it worked properly).

Parents Knowingly Send Student Who Was Infected With COVID-19 To School I had parents like that. They refused to keep me home from school for anything, unless the school itself called them and told them to come and get me from school because I was sick or had problems. Because "missy" wasn't going to miss school if they could help it. Even when I had whooping cough they sent me to school until the school called and gave them sheite for doing that. Just because they didn't want me missing school.

Dee Snider slams anti-maskers who used his song in Target stunt: 'Selfish a*******'

Well look, you can't pretend to be a rebel and then get pissed off when those who want to rebel use your material. If you're not a rebel you have no business espousing rebellious content to begin with, so because you did, don't be surprised when actual rebels want to use your material.  Gawd only knows why because it's just pathetic. The lyrics must've been written by a grade 7 drop out that's how base and simple and downright stupid in some parts they are. So you should be happy someone would want to use it for anything at all.

Coronavirus: US health chiefs reverse advice on Covid-19 testing

And they wonder why people don't listen to the authorities on this disease anymore..... They change their minds, their laws, their rules, their suggestions and treatments from one minute to the next. You almost have to be on top of the news cycle 24 hours a day to know which whimsy they're going with right now, which may change in a couple of hours or days from now. We don't know what they are at that precise moment in time, but if we happen to contravene all these ever changing laws, rules, by-laws, suggestions or whatever they want to call them, we'll be handed a hefty fine by those hired to do nothing else but follow us around and watch for every little infringement they can find in order to stick it to us big. So people are tired of even trying to follow the laws, rules, suggestions or whatever they call them, because they can't keep on top of them and don't know what they are at the current moment in time, half the time.

Covid-19: New fear grips Europe as cases top 30m worldwide

Covid-19 Singapore: A ‘pandemic of inequality’ exposed

Covid-19: Lockdown in parts of Madrid amid virus spike

As COVID-19 Restrictions Return, It Won’t Be Like The First Lockdown Of course not, because we have to put the economy first, over and above people's social bonds, physical health & wellbeing and mental health, because of course we're all being treated like delinquent brats, that are grounded. We're allowed to go to school or work but we have to come home right away and we're not allowed to see our friends or go out anywhere fun. The last time that happened to me, I was 14 years old, but I ran away when I was grounded.

Is that what we have to do  here? Just flout the F out of your draconian BS laws? Because seriously I can't understand how we can allow kids to be in classrooms of 25 during the day but they can't play with the 2-3 friends they normally hang out with after school.

How come adults can work in large warehouses, factories, processing plants, assembly lines, production lines, on construction sites, in fire departments, police stations, stores, etc.... where we know they are in constant contact with others all day long and in some cases exposed to a lot of different people on a continual basis, like cashiers or bank tellers. It's fine for them to risk their lives working with and serving those people, because it's for the sake of the economy, but they're not allowed to go home and spend time with family members that live outside their homes (like brothers, sisters, parents, etc...) or friends, because OMG they might give these workers covid19. I mean get real. What's the difference between a coworker huddling over your shoulder from 9-5, 5 days a week, or spending 2-3 hours once a week with an extended family member and another 2-3 hours a week with some friends.

I mean if everyone's working it's not like they have a ton of time to socialize anyhow, they're too busy with work, kids, household chores etc to be able to spend time on a daily basis with those in their social circles. But they need to be able to spend time with them for psychological wellbeing and support.

But you braindead SOBs in office who do what you please when you please anyhow, and your laws you throw at the rest of us doesn't seem to apply to you, have no clue what it's like to be deprived of almost all reason to live.

If all you want are cogs in a wheel, then get yourselves some and leave us the F alone to do as we please!!!!!

COVID-19 clinical trials leading to "chaos": medical article

Canada added 246,000 jobs in August, but employment still 1 million short of pre-COVID level Well at least that's a bit of good news.

Experts say pooled COVID testing could help in safe return to school

How post-secondary students, schools are coping with mandatory quarantine

Temperature checks and no masks: School is back in Russia, but classes look much the same

Anyhow, that's enough of the tyrannical lies and BS going on out there for one day, I think. So I'll leave it here for now. Until next time take care & stay safe.
