Continuing On From 2020 Is .....

Covid19

January 3, 2021

When I started this blog back in March 2020, when we first went into lockdown, I never dreamed I'd have 2021 dates on any of the postings in it. I thought for sure the whole thing would be over with by now. But alas, here we are, the 3rd of January 2021 and its raging stronger than ever and the morons in charge of our country are too f'n stupid to figure out how to roll out a vaccination campaign, so it wouldn't surprise me any that on January 3, 2022 I'll still be having to post postings in here as it still won't be over here in Canada.

I mean I can't figure out how they managed to inoculate most of the population against H1N1 in about 3-4 months time, but they can't figure out how to inoculate 50,000 people in a month's time now. Seems like the more time passes, the stupider our population gets. Instead of learning from the past and maintaining some memory of it and how it was done, they promptly forgot as soon as it was over and done with and now they have to reinvent the entire wheel from scratch again. I mean it's not as if we're making the vaccines themselves so having to figure that out isn't the problem - it's the logistics of how to get it from a FedEx truck into our arms that seems to be the problem here.

Whereas it wasn't a problem when it was the H1N1 virus. Everyone had their shots in no time then. I guess though that wasn't as lethal and actually, would've had a detrimental effect on the pharmaceutical industries if they didn't get as many people inoculated against H1N1 as they were able to, because then everyone who contracted H1N1 would've been automatically immune to all flues and colds coming along afterwards - thereby drastically cutting back on flu & cold medicine sales.

So that's why they were able to figure it out and implement it in a flying hurry, but can't seem to figure stuff out this time around, because the longer it takes them to figure it out the more "useless eaters" get exterminated.  That's what it feels like to me.

Too bad one of those "useless eaters" doesn't turn out to be bozo brains mother, Ms. Piggy or one of their spawn, or Haggydodo's kin, or Tam, the genocidal witch doctor's kin (though I don't think that would make a difference in her case, as I don't think she'd care anyhow - heartless beitche that she is).

I mean it's only after Ms. Piggy and Mommy Dearest both returned from the UK in the spring with the virus themselves that bozo brains started taking it seriously - before that he was standing at the border welcoming it with open arms and kisses on both cheeks, because he didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings (namely the Chinese people's feelings - as if they give a flying F about us or our feelings). He wasn't worried about our feelings (you know his taxpaying voters) if we were to get sick with it or have a loved one die from it. That didn't seem to bother him one little bit. He was more concerned about hurting the feelings of some Chinese people than he was about the health and wellbeing of Canadians. Tells you what kind of short sighted ignorant ash hole we have for a PM here in Canada, doesn't it?

Just a short recap of what actually happened here in Canada to wake the morons at the helm up a bit and stop being so hospitable to virus carriers by letting them in and letting them "voluntarily self quarantine" - in other words let them in and let them traipse around the country as they pleased, because you can bet your bottom dollar that as soon as one of those who promised to voluntarily self quarantine ran out of an essential item like toilet paper, they were off to the store to get some, or if loss of their job was a threat they went to work, or failing a semester because of it, they went to school guaranteed. You know it, I know it and the offenders knows it too.

I mean look at the woman on the south shore of Montreal who was told to self-quarantine, but instead of staying home and staying put she managed to ride all over Montreal on buses a few times in a week. Yeah like that helped a lot. Helped spread it hither and yon a lot, that is. So if one woman did that (and got caught) how many others do you think did that but didn't get caught then and even now? And we wonder what's going on and why.....

So much for the quarantine methods of the past - which actually helped quell rampant disease outbreaks so they didn't become pandemics. But hey we can't use those methods because someone's civil liberties might be infringed upon - so instead we'll infringe on everyone's civil liberties equally by imposing province wide or country wide lockdowns, which aren't working because they're only half ashed, when the only sectors shut down are retail, & hospitality/entertainment, while everything else is open & working.

So now, on with the bleak reality of it here at the start of 2021.....

Despite pandemic, Montreal's real estate market had a record year I believe it, considering we don't live in Montreal and we've had 2 people wanting to buy our property in the last couple of months,  even though it's not for sale yet at least. But as our son suggested we could make a killing on it maybe if we put it for sale but for some outrageous price we want for it and if we don't get it, we don't sell. Given the amount of interest shown in it, in the last couple of months we might just do that.

Travellers to Canada will require proof of negative COVID-19 test This should've been required since the beginning of the plandemic and not near the end of it.

And I bet they'll have all 1.5 billion people inoculated before Canada even gets a half a million of our citizens inoculated.

That's one way to get that long overdue disclosure going..... Now that, that bill has been signed into  law by Trump, I guess they'll have to comply.

Les premiers vaccins sont arrivés en Montérégie Oui mais, it's a long way from Valleyfield and Vaudreuil Soulanges which are part of Monteregie too. When do you think that part of the Monteregie will see some vaccines??????

Trump's $2,000 Checks All But Dead As GOP Senate Refuses Aid Oh but I bet if it were $2,000 a month increases in their salaries they were voting on, it would've been a landslide "yes". They'd have no problems on allowing that for themselves, but for those they've caused to basically become insolvent and maybe even on the verge of destitution, by their laws and shutdowns etc, they can't give them a $2,000 a month helping hand until their plandemic is over with eh? They vote it down and then have the nerve to blame Trump for the people not getting it. What a bunch of lying hypocrites.... Gawd....

11 Things We Won’t Take For Granted Again In 2021 And Beyond Hmmmm I don't know. Most of the things listed there were not missed let alone taken for granted here. I'd have thought perhaps the journalist would've been a little less shallow person then they are and have listed things that actually matter, like being able to see loved ones you missed seeing and actually spending time with them in person & doing things together. Not taking your parents or grandparents for granted and resolving to spend more quality time with them. Being able to meet new people and make new friends, etc... Not this shallow "oh now we can party and greet each other with a kiss" kind of sheite. I guess if you're a 20 something flake, that's the be all and end all of your existance so probably the only thing you're capable of thinking about or missing.

Quebec changes COVID-19 vaccine strategy, won't hold back doses for booster shots Is that a good idea? Given that we're only getting vaccines delivered a drip at a time? Thanks to bozo brains for his total ineptitude at doing this.....

I bet they're gouging the governments on the cost of the vaccines though.

Well at least some Canadians somewhere can enjoy a nice meal out with a loved one. Though being from NS, there's not all that many restaurants in most of the province, they're only really in towns and the two larger cities of Dartmouth & Halifax. Most of the rest of the province is rural consisting of fishing villages and well they may have a clam shack or snackbar, not many are going to have full blown restaurants to go to anyhow.

The variant isn't that new - it's been around since mid-September in the UK and probably since October here in Canada & the US - which probably accounts for the soaring case numbers even though certain places like here in Quebec we've been under a lockdown since the beginning of October.

Alberta municipal affairs minister took Hawaii vacation, sources say If they can flout the laws with impunity, why can't the rest of us? After all, THEY WORK FOR US! So if we're their bosses, we should be the ones flouting the laws with impunity while they pay hefty prices for doing so.

It's not limited. What's limited is your intelligence. There's nothing wrong with re-examinating past tests to see if they show signs of that variant in them and I'd hazard a pretty good guess and say they do.

I'm sure we're all hoping for that end.

The Mutated Virus Is a Ticking Time Bomb Probably not any more so now, than when it probably first arrived in October.

What Canada will learn & forget is the whole damned thing, just like they did with the H1N1 roll out. After that was done with, they promptly forgot everything about it. Like some kind of mass amnesia amongst the medical community.

For school at least that will probably be a good thing.

Covid camps? Put disease ‘carriers’ in DETENTION CENTERS, proposed New York law suggests  Well at one time they had sanatoriums for TB patients. When my mother was a young girl she spent 6 months in one, where she wasn't even allowed to see members of her own family - they weren't allowed to visit her.  Most people didn't have telephones at home then either, so calling on the phone was out of the question and forget things like iPads and laptops, they were merely a sci fi fantasy back then. The only means of communication she had with them was through handwritten letters. My mother was never a big letter writer either, so that basically limited that. So there's nothing wrong with this idea if they change the name from COVID Camp to something more palatable - considering that has a connotation of a death camp rather than a place of healing.

Federal officials shut down single-dose Moderna vaccine proposal Well if the manufacturer says you need 2 doses for it to be fully effective, then generally you need 2 doses of it. So whatever made the bozos in power think otherwise anyhow?

Once upon a time, teachers and students got inoculated at the same time in the school gym or auditorium.

Vatican City plans swift COVID-19 vaccination drive for residents Everyone, everywhere is planning a swift vaccination drive except for here in Canada. Canada plans to take an entire year to vaccinate 35 million people, rather than the 3-4 months that they managed to get it done in, when it was H1N1 circulating. At the rate Canada wants to move at, India would need 2 decades to inoculate their entire population.

Vaccine rollout picks up speed in First Nations across Canada So you mean instead of inoculating 2 natives like you did yesterday you managed to inoculate 3 of them today? At that rate you'll be finished in the year 9,999 December 31.

How Israel got vaccines to 9% of its population in less than 2 weeks - far more than any other country That would be equivalent to Canada vaccinating roughly 3.5 million of us in less than 2 weeks. We can't seem to even get 35,000 of us vaccinated in that time frame. Talk about pathetic....

When they so readily flout their own laws like that, you have to wonder how serious this plandemic really is. Because you would think the politicians would know better than anyone else the situation in their own jurisdictions and the numbers associated with it. So if it's as dangerous as they say it is, why are the politicians willing to risk not only their own lives but also those of their families like they're doing when they flout those laws? So if it's as dangerous as they say it is, they should be terrified into staying home, but since they don't you have to question it and figure that those numbers are just meant to keep us in line, but they know the real numbers which aren't quite so bad as the ones released publicly.

'Sky is the limit:' Pilot project using drones to send medical supplies, COVID tests Oh goody for them. They got their toys to work in order to inoculate a couple of people, but what about the rest of us? You know the few million south of there that needs to be vaccinated too!?!

So did pretty much the rest of us across this country with an exception or two here or there.

Another self-entitled nitwit that thinks the laws are only for the rest of us.

Two more UCP MLAs returning to Alberta from trips abroad So obviously this plandemic is nowheres near as bad as they'd have us to believe with all their draconian lockdown laws, when they can so blithely flout them without care nor consequence. Not even the care or consequence of them contracting the virus and either dying from it themselves or possibly a family member of theirs. So like I said I wonder just how bad it really is. If they're not overblowing it on purpose in order to scare us into compliance but the pigs at the taxpayers troughs know the real truths and thus the real numbers and know it's not nearly half as bad as they're letting on that it is. That's what I'm starting to think.

Canadians’ hopes, fears and resolutions as 2021 begins  My hope is that I'll soon be able to post the last post in this blog, my fear is that I won't be able to this year and my resolution is just to enjoy life as much as possible.

No sheite sherlocke, I think we could more or less ascertain that for ourselves when we were told that it was more contagious - more contagious means it's spreads more and faster. Um duhhhh....

Canadian scientists work to track new coronavirus variant Good luck with that one.... You'll have to figure out a way to backtrack it to October because it's been here since then.

Because this country's medical authorities are nothing but airheads, imbeciles and genocidal witches. That's why.

U.S. millions of doses behind COVID-19 vaccine targets Guess they're taking lessons from the clueless buffoons that are in charge of Canada's vaccinations.

Yet ANOTHER CASE of authorities flouting the laws, as per this quote from the article: The police did not have their masks, or at least most of them. Either they wore it wrong or they just weren’t, says the resident of Gatineau.  --- Followed by this quote: Arriving with a bang on the scene, these reinforcements did not have time to put on their masks, reports communications manager Mariane Leduc. --------- Um so they don't have to wear their masks in the cars when driving together? So those 2 cops in the cop cars live together in the same house then? I mean we know there's not 2 meters distance between the driver and the passenger cops in the cars, so shouldn't they be wearing their masks before they even get in the squad cars together????? Or are those laws only for the rest of us, to give those lamebrained power trippers someone to ticket as there aren't many drivers left on the roads due to the lockdowns now? Is that it? If not then other cops seeing that should issue them hefty tickets for breaking the plandemic laws as well!!!!!! I'm so sick and tired of this culture of do as I say but not as I do, otherwise I'll gouge the eyes out of your heads in fines if you don't, BS. I think all these clowns behaving like that, should have their eyes gouged out of their heads for real. Have that happen to a few of these high and mighty politician & cop, BS flouting ash holes and the rest of them would smarten up and fly right.

Quebec shoppers and retailers frustrated and confused about what is an 'essential product'  What's essential to one, may not be to another. And what might seem like it shouldn't be essential to anyone might be under various circumstances. Like say a pair of winter boots because the ones you have got  a broken zipper or maybe a part of the sole missing letting cold water and snow inside, because most people by now would have their boots for the winter. Or you suddenly find out you need to be hospitalized and can't find any decent pjs, housecoat, nor undies either for that matter and need some before you can get admitted. There's all sorts of things that could be a necessity to someone but not necessarily to everyone, depending on situations. That's why I don't like that stupid law.

That's putting it mildly.

Plane crash deaths rise in 2020 despite Covid pandemic I thought we were all supposed to be staying home and not travelling! If we did, there wouldn't have been as many plane crash deaths as that.

Maybe you can find some helpful advice in this article.

Why the pandemic is causing spikes in break-ups and divorces  Well my mother always said there's what she called a "7 year itch", that generally on the 7th year and again at each multiple of 7 years, like 14, 21, 28, etc... you experience the "7 year itch" where no matter what your partner says or does it just irritates the hell out of you and you wish you could be anywhere except where they are. So if the plandemic occurred on the 7 year multiple of a couple's marriage that probably didn't help things at all. But I've found in my own marriage that we do go through rough patches every now and then and while I can only say that maybe out of the 45 years we've been together, those rough patches might've occurred on 2 of the 7 year multiples, the other rough patches were at random. But generally speaking in our case anyhow, the rough patches didn't last a whole year, maybe a few months tops and that was it, they resolved themselves (actually we resolved our issues ourselves).

And here in Canada too! Like I said since I found out it started in the UK in mid September and since all the lockdowns and other measures meant to slow the spread didn't seem to be working at all.

New coronavirus spread swiftly around world from late 2019, study finds As did the other original virus, only no one will admit that because to do so would be putting the WHO at fault for not alerting us sooner. Which they should've done while it was STILL JUST AN EPIDEMIC IN WUHAN.

I don't know if you can blame the virus for all your violence, because if the virus is to blame for your violence, why didn't we see that everywhere?

Who needs to be furious here in order for the vaccinations to rollout faster? Doesn't seem like there's any adults in charge of our vaccination campaign.

Local food pantry feels impact after federal food program abruptly ends This is just sad and doesn't bode well for the year ahead either.

Fauci not in favor of expanding gap between COVID-19 vaccine doses

The US is not prepared for the next phase of COVID-19 vaccinations  You sure they were prepared for the 1st phase because all the headlines I've seen up until now wouldn't suggest that. Quite the contrary if you ask me.

Ontario reports record COVID-19 cases as more politicians cop to foreign travel

And yet more politicians flouting their own laws..... Why would anyone seeing all these flouters do that and get away with it, think they couldn't do it too and why should they obey the laws if those clowns don't have to? I certainly don't think they're any more above the law than I am, so therefore I should be able to flout the laws and get away with it too.

$1,000 Federal Sickness Benefit Can Be Used To Quarantine After Non-Essential Travel

Yeah sure, give the rich who can afford non essential travel, even more money that they don't deserve. Meanwhile we have thousands of homeless rotting in gutters because they can't afford a place to live, seniors getting kicked out of places because they can no longer afford their rents, the working poor struggling to put food in their mouths and a roof over their heads at the same time.... But yeah, it's obvious these rich SOBs needs the money way more than any of those people do, so give it to them and continue ignoring the most needy in this country like you've been doing since 1867!

Feds weigh cutting COVID-19 benefit for travellers as Canada surpasses 600,000 cases You should do more than just weigh it there bozos, try doing something about it. Maybe pass the savings on to the groups I mentionned above - they actually need it, more than those who can afford to travel for non-essential purposes do.

Dachshund Ramp, Aches & Pains, &

 Covid19

 Courtesy Pixabay.com

November 10, 2020

Seeing as how it was 23C out there today and sunny, we took advantage of that fact and some scrap wood and hinges to start working on a Dachshund Ramp
As seen there on that page - 3rd picture down the page. We cut all the wood (first we had to find suitable wood, the hinges, and then set up the table saw - it's one of those collapsible mobile ones, find the circular saw and other tools and drag them all outside to where we were going to work) and brought it inside to be assembled later. We couldn't today because my husband's back locked up on him while he was trying to get the table saw ready to put away after we finished cutting the wood. I put all his other tools and stuff away for him, but I had to call a neighbour to come over and get the table saw back into it's collapsed mobile state so it could be put away too.  So we brought all the wood pieces and hinges inside to assemble later on this week when we're able to find the time.

We wanted steak on the BBQ but since he's the BBQ master and his back was jammed in one position that didn't happen instead we had fried steak, with mushrooms, onions, peppers, & garlic fried together separate from the steak and baked potatoes for dinner.

For the time that it lasted with no back pain, or problems, we actually enjoyed ourselves - a throw back to earlier times when he used to do a lot of woodwork and when I used to help him do it, sometimes.  We did a lot of that together especially before we had kids - after the kids were in the picture I had to manage to keep away from dangerous stuff -  because my kids were inclined to want to get into it too. That included the many crafts I used to do, I couldn't for fear of them either winding up getting in my way and getting hurt because of it (think candle making and hot wax for instance or other such type hobbies - and my hobbies run the gamut from candle making and wood burning, to mosaics, beading, polymer clay, knitting, sewing embroidery and you name it). I'm always fascinated in how things are made by hand and if I don't know how I want to learn how, if I can. But for many years when it would be dangerous for the kids, or when they got older and had little patience for their silly parents, I just didn't bother. But now.... There's no stopping me now, except for making stupid promises that I can't keep like keeping this blog going until the end of the pandemic.....

Speaking of which....  I guess I'd better get on getting more of those October headlines posted if I want to get it over with anytime soon.

John Ivison: At least Canadians now know that Trudeau's priorities don't include them And that is a surprise to someone? That little dirtbag cares about himself and that's all. I'd be surprised if he gave a flying F about any of the rest of his family except maybe mommy dearest because he seems to be mommy's little boy. He sure isn't Daddy's boy. The apple fell so far away from that tree that it rolled all the way over to the mommy tree and he became a pansified, self-centered, self-entitled,  flake just like mommy dearest. So this doesn't come as a surprise to me anyhow.

Selkirk RCMP officer tests positive for coronavirus, police say So does that mean that that whole detachment is closed because one officer tested positive?

Dr. Bonnie Henry expects 'beginnings' of vaccine to be available as soon as January Why beginning of January? When Pfizer basically indicated theirs was basically ready to go.

Blood of recovered COVID-19 patients shows little benefit as treatment That's very strange because in most other cases it does help.

POST COVID unrest? They should be more concerned about the unrest stemming from all the lockdowns and deprivations people are forced to endure WHILE THIS IS GOING ON, and not just there in Latin America, but around the globe!

Liberals rebuff Conservative push for documents on federal COVID-19 response Of course the "transparent Liberal gov't" rebuffed the push for documents, because they're so opaque they might as well be a stonewall, well I guess that's where the "stonewalling" term came from. From transparent gov'ts that don't want to let anyone see, or know anything, because they're such lying crooked snakes in the grass.

At least some areas of this country wants to try to make things fun and interesting for others especially the kids, instead of like the grinches Dube, Legault & Arruda are doing here in QC.

Santa Claus won't be coming to Macy's this year Are there still any Americans out there that needed to be told this without already intrinsically knowing it?

Early snow brings rising interest in cross-country skiing as COVID winter approaches We should all find ways to keep active and busy during the winter months as most of us naturally stay home and hibernate during the winter and don't go out much for anything at all, unless we have to, but this year may be a bit different especially for those working from home as their commute involves way less walking than it would if they had to go out to work. Granted some don't walk all that far, especially if they have a VIP parking space at work and their office/desk is near the entrance. But for others they may have to walk to bus stops and then up and down stairs to and from subway trains and then finally into the building and down a long corridor or two to get to their office and/or desk, which is much further than walking from the bedroom to the livingroom or basement or whatever room has been designated as the "office" these days. So those people may be getting considerably less exercise and given the proximity to the fridge, that may not be helping in the weight dept either.  So getting some outdoor excise may be just what people need this winter as opposed to usual winters gone by.

Elections Canada ready to run a snap election during a pandemic, says chief electoral officer That's one of the things I want the most is an election but this time where Canadians have smartened up and don't repeat their colossal mistake the 3rd time around!

Proposed legislation aimed at COVID-related lawsuits expected to protect businesses Is that like the "honest efforts" that I see going on in grocery stores these days? Where they don't care if everyone is standing on top of everyone else? And that there's no social distancing being practiced anymore? But yet they have all the appropriate stickers on the floors and plexiglass set up, but they don't follow any of the guideline with any caution at all, but hey if they were taken to court they could take pictures of all the fancy floor stickers and plexiglass to try to convince the judge that they were following all the rules when in fact they weren't. Like those honest efforts hmmm????

WHO's Tedros says countries on "dangerous track" in pandemic And all of those countries, along with everyone else in the world can thank this corrupt ash hole for it.

They can get one before the end of the year, it looks like the US might have one near the end of the year or very beginning of the next one but bozo brains in Ottawa is saying Canada won't have one until next spring?????

Coronavirus: Chester drive-in movie bogged down by lockdown loos Yeah, that's the problem we had here in QC in the spring. We could go out shopping but if we had to go to the washroom while shopping, tough luck, there was no where where you could go.

That's a wise investment. Even after the virus has been eradicated, it can still help filter out other pollutants and germs in the air.

Coronavirus: Macron announces curfews in France to halt spread of Covid-19 I seriously don't understand this curfew nonsense. Is the virus supposed to know what time it is and only spread between such a time and such a time or something like that? Instead of curfews, try things like full lockdowns except for essential services (which includes food stores), they seem to work better than stupid curfews appear to do.

Yet another projection that's probably hyped up hyperbole.

New Toilet Installed, Motor Cycle Accident, Waiting Anxiously For News, & Posting Headlines on...

Covid19

Courtesy Pixabay.com

November 7, 2020

This is how our day started. Our son called early this morning to wake his father up to tell him that he and his friend were going to be here shortly to install the new toilet we bought last week. So my husband got up and got ready to be of help if he could (with his back messed up the way it is, it's a wonder he could be of any help). While he's waiting for them to show up we got 2 more phone calls, one right behind the other. The first one was from our son's wife telling us our son was in a motorcycle accident with only a few details. Immediately after he hung up from her the phone rang again and it was one of our son's work colleagues who happened to be there on the scene when the accident occurred so he stopped to check on our son when he recognized the bike and saw it was our son lying on the road. Because he was on the scene when it happened and because he talked to our son (that's how & why he called us), he was able to get a few sketchy details about the accident and how our son was feeling at that moment and the information on which hospital the ambulance was going to be taking him to.

As soon as he hung up from talking to our son's colleague, he noticed our son's friend (who does a lot of the construction work for our son & his colleagues - who are all interior designer/architects) was already here and out of his car and standing in our driveway, so he went out to greet him and the guy came in the house and at first he wasn't going to change the toilet, instead he was just going to try to fix the problem with the one that was there and come back later when our son was able to. Then for some reason he just decided to change it and so my husband went with him to the shed to bring the new one in and unbox it and take it in the bathroom after he took the old one out and checked the floor underneath and the flanges etc...  Made sure everything was alright before installing the new one, which he did an excellent job of. Our son had told us that he had a sweet tooth and liked baked goods, so I got out a previously made and frozen pumpkin cheesecake to give to him as a kind of tip to go along with the payment for his time along with travel money to cover his gas. He didn't want it. None of it, not even the cheesecake until I told him he'd offend me if he didn't take it and if he didn't want it to take it for his daughters, so he smiled and accepted that, but he wouldn't accept any money even though my husband tried to force him to take it by trying to put it directly in his hand. I am not quite sure why he refused to be paid for the job, as it's an excellent job and he doesn't know us personally from a hole in the ground - only our son.

Meanwhile while the guy was still here working on the toilet inbetween all the happenings at the hospital on my son's end, he called to talk to us directly to let us know directly from him, that despite the speed he was travelling (100kph or 60mph) he was alright and according to him only a sprained ankle, but he still hadn't been seen by any doctors - just paramedics and nurses doing the preliminaries like vitals and stabilizing etc...  Then later on his wife called me to tell me about some of the things they'd done, like x-rays of his foot and CT Scans and other tests, to make sure there was no internal bleeding or other injuries and she said she'd call me with the results.

So I waited and waited but no call came so I went to have a nap as I had only 3.5 hours of sleep when we were awakened with the 1st phone call from him saying he was coming here to help his friend.

After I got up, I waited some more and still no phone call. So I decided to rattle their cages by phoning each of them but wound up going to voice mail. But, as soon as they got the voice mail they called back and told me that all the tests were fine, but when they went to release him and he tried to stand up or change position on the bed, he got dizzy. So they tested him for a concussion (as they x-rayed his head to make sure there were no fractures of the skull already) and sure enough he has a concussion. So they're making him stay there until he's not dizzy and can stand and walk on his own. Then when they do release him he has to stay home and stay quiet for a few days before he can even resume doing design work - which is done on a computer using AutoCad 3D & auxillary programs that compliments AutoCad.  Then he's only supposed to gradually resume working, if he's able to.

Given the stressful day we endured as parents, of a son in a motorcycle accident, I decided to make a spontaneous change to the planned dinner, by jazzing it up a bit. It was supposed to be BBQ chicken drumsticks with baked potatoes and green beans, instead it turned into Orange chicken drumsticks with baked potatoes & green beans.  As I wasn't in the mood for cooking I used a trick I found before when making Canard a l'orange using a mandarin salad dressing (Kraft brand), and orange marmalade. So I poured the salad dressing over the drumsticks before I baked them and then about 20 minutes before serving, I daubed each drumstick with a teaspoon of the marmalade. My husband loved it and he's not a big chicken fan and of course our dog loved it too. It made it extra yummier than it would've been had I just used my Chicken wing sauce.

As I said last night in the previous post one of my hygge moments is the sunset we get to see across the water. Tonight's sunset was particularly beautiful. Maybe the universe understood I was in dire need of a hygge moment to end off the day.  So, even though I don't normally upload any pictures in here of my own, I'm going to make an exception tonight to share this with all others who may also need a hygge moment of their own or in good ole English a zen moment.... Just to zone out and relax with....

While typing what my day was like, I just turned my head towards the window and this is what I saw. So I couldn't resist taking a picture of it. I must have hundreds of sunset pictures and all of them are unique, some prettier than others and some not quite as much. This one is in the top half of the prettiest ones and very unusual for this time of year as the sun is usually rather bleak looking and so are the sunsets. This is more akin to a spring or summertime sunset especially late summer. The difference in this between the spring and summertime sunset pics is the lack of leaves on the trees in the picture.  I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I do and I hope it provides the same soothing benefits to your mind and soul as it does mine.

So now that we've had our zen moment and lowered our blood pressures a bit, it's time to get them jacked up again with the COVID19 headlines. I am still slogging my way through to the end of the month of October here and I'm sure I'm not going to be finished it tonight either.  But trust me when I do finally reach the end, I will not be doing this again, unless there's a drastic change in how this plandemic is going either for the good (hopefully good) or the bad (hopefully not), but considering it's pretty much the thing over and over again with no real drastic changes, there's no point in keeping this up unless I intend to become the internet's repository for all articles COVID.... But I'm not up to that on my own, or what I'm getting paid for doing it. So when I finish October's headlines if I resume because of a drastic change in the direction of the plandemic I'm only going to do what I can and will not be as thorough as I tried to be this time around. It's too time consuming for me alone.

So on with the show.....

Apparently it's getting to be like that around here too. Gawd, ordinary bungalows are now selling for $1.5 million  around here and when I say "around here" I don't mean in the exact same area where I am where we have beautiful views of  the water & sunsets like posted above. I mean around here as on a busier road than this with only houses across the road to look at and behind the house just trees (like a forest) on roughly the same size land our house is on. They have no rights of passage to the water and none of the tranquility we have as we're on a deadend street at the edge of the water and they're on the main road of the area.  So we're actually starting to think of listing this place for some insane price and sitting on it until we get it, if we get it. If not, we'll still be living here happily until we are no longer of this earth, hopefully as we both refuse to go to the seniors death camps that pass as seniors residences here in QC.

It's long past our tobogganing and skiing days (though we never did ski to begin with - I'm not allowed because of an operation I had on a leg when I was a kid) and as for skating I would love to but I hate skating alone and my husband won't skate (not that he can't, because he used to play hockey when he was young - not professionally, just for fun) and so I haven't skated in years and I'm not sure I'd be able to again without sustaining severe injuries in the process.  So we'll just do what we've been doing in the wintertime since the kids have grown and that is keep busy inside. Though my husband loves it when it snows because then he can get the snowblower out and snowblow. For some crazy reason, he loves doing that.

I wouldn't call it traumatized, but I was surprised to learn from my son's wife today that she was only allowed to visit with him for 1 hour (until she got special permission from a nurse on duty there) and that the patients there are only allowed 1 visitor per day for 1 hour, supposedly that's to do with COVID19 too. That's not much time to spend with a loved one per day, especially if they're very sick or very young or maybe elderly and senile and who don't know what's going on or understand what the nurses and doctors are telling them.

'Verge of burnout': COVID-19 a factor for universities, faculty in contract talks Based on my son's experience teaching during the spring semester, I can certainly understand why.

Canadian business sentiment improves, but remains weak amid COVID-19 uncertainty Well no wonder with lockdowns and heavy duty restrictions being threatened every few days, I can understand their uncertainty. It's amazing that the imbeciles who impose those lockdowns can't see or understand that.

Canada’s woeful track record on children set to get worse with COVID-19 pandemic I have nothing against helping needy families get by, by adding more programs to support and help their kids, what I have a problem with is extending those same programs to the so-called "Middle Class" (which is really the lower upper class) and upper classes. They are already affluent enough to be able to afford to raise their own kids without the gov't's help or very little help compared to those in the lower tax brackets and indigenous communities who have no tax brackets. And it's the middle and upper classes that are the ones fomenting the most about getting more child support in the way of monthly benefits and tax breaks and subsidized this that and the other things and year long maternity or paternity leave etc...  But not because they want the lower classes to have those benefits, no it's because the greedy guts generation needs more, more and yet more at the expense of everyone else in society especially the poor, disabled and elderly. Those are their favourite punching bags - to be kicked and trod on when they're down (and not necessarily their targets being the ones that are down but the ones doing the kicking and punching - them being down as in not having gotten their own way and so taking it out on the other groups).

Pages accuse MPs of ignoring distancing, mask rules Of course they do, because 1) they think they're above the law and 2) They KNOW that this isn't so much a pandemic as it is a plandemic and that there's little danger of getting seriously sick and dying from this, no more so than with the annual garden variety flu would be and they know it. Don't forget these are the people who really knows what's going on behind the scenes, because they're the ones pulling all the strings and enacting all the laws. So if they feel it's safe to wad their masks up in their barehands or not wear masks or physically distance themselves from each other they probably also know the risks of such actions.

Canadian ski resorts face winter without international cash cows As did the rest of the country during the summer months when tourism was forbidden then too.

Coronavirus: Belgium facing 'tsunami' of new infections Wow! Those are staggering figures for a population of just over 11 million. We have a population of 8.5 million here in QC and Legault thinks it's the end of the world and he has to go all gestapo on us because we have a thousand cases a day. I'm wondering what he'd do if we had cases of 7,000 more a day like Belgium. He'd probably lock us inside our houses and forbid us ever going out again for anything at all for at least a month or two. We'd be ordered to stock up on whatever supplies we need for the duration and given a few days to accomplish that probably and then we'd go into full lockdown mode where the only people allowed out of their houses and be able to do anything would be REAL essential services like cops, firemen, paramedics and medical personnel. Like when everything used to be ordered shut down on Sundays and Christmas Day. Nothing operated then not even gas stations - everything was closed except for those essential services and media types had an exception too, in order to keep us informed of the weather and news and that was it. I wouldn't put it past him if we even remotely approached the same daily cases as Belgium has.

Covid: What the tier rules say about the split between science and politics The same thing is going on here in QC & ON. In QC everything's locked up tighter than a drum unless of course it's something that isn't any fun like manufacturing, warehouse work, and commerce, but gyms, bars, restaurants, etc are shut down, whereas in ON, the neighbouring province those things are open.

What do you want to bet that now that Biden's been declared president they'll start approving and distributing the vaccines right away? I wouldn't doubt it.

We have a small room air purifier, which I'm hoping will be sufficient if we should ever need it for that purpose.

That's probably true of businesses all across Canada.

With such a nice story, I will end the postings tonight and hope you take care & stay well.
