Continuing Coronavirus Coverage
June 28, 2020
As it was raining out at times today, I took advantage of it, to make some chocolate chunk cookies, a blueberry sauce to mix with my homemade yogurt and some souvlaki on pita - the souvlaki on pita and cookies were for supper. The souvlaki on pita is pretty easy to do. My recipe for it, is already on my blog just look down the right hand side for the label to it and click on it if you wish to get it.
I'm sure you've already gathered that the Jazz Fest, Stampede and Regatta are all cancelled due to COVID19, but one of them at least will let you enjoy it online, or some of what would be it if they were actually performing. Anyhow without further ado, here's the latest of the neverending coronavirus news:
Special, virtual edition of Montreal jazz fest kicks off four nights of homegrown music Getting to this right away so that readers can maybe have some time to see this and visit the site to see the performances, here: The Festival International de Jazz de Montréal Enjoy.
Valleyfield Regatta has been cancelled for the first time in 82 years Personally, I'm really glad it's cancelled. Every year when they have it, we're driven out of our minds by the noise those monsterous boat motors makes. It's fun to watch, but not so much fun to hear.
Calgary Stampede finds ways to keep spirit alive despite COVID-19 cancellation I'm not sure the breakfast, donuts & food truck are going to have the same draw and appeal to them as the stampede does to people, but I wish them luck nevertheless.
Despite pandemic, country figuring out different ways to celebrate Canada Day So I would assume that means that everyone who's interested in celebrating Canada Day in their community, that they stay tuned to their community's communique's on the subject.
Corona (Parody of Lola by The Kinks) Starting off with a little musical levity for such a grim and all encompassing subject.
I Want to Know What Day It Is - Foreigner Parody 1 More to boost the mood before it plummets after reading all the dreadful stories to follow.
Coronavirus: Human trial of new vaccine begins in UK Maybe there's hope after-all...
Coronavirus: New York imposes quarantine on eight US states Yup and maybe the Canadian Customs Agency ought not to be letting vehicles bearing NY state license plates into Canada, like they did on at least one occasion recently. Considering there was a pickup truck with NY plates driving around a shopping plaza parking lot around here recently.
Canada’s forgotten universal basic income experiment Didn't know about this one before.
Pandemic fines top $13 million, study says; punitive approach rapped Yup and you can see in the picture with this story the ones the cops are handing the tickets out to. The ones who can least afford them and will never ever be able to pay them. So you have to wonder how dump or power tripping cops have to be to do stuff like that!?! To me that just demonstrates their subterranian IQ levels and how mean and nasty they can be, that's all. There's no justice there.
'Mass Murder': Trump's Coronavirus Confession Is Already Being Used In Attack Ads Too bad we can't get any "mass murder" confessions out of Tam, Haggdu or Trudeau, because it would make convicting them, of such, that much easier the minute their political immunity is gone.
Dow drops 700 points as virus cases surge, IMF cuts global outlook Can't wait to see how spooked it'll be tomorrow when it reopens after the weekend and the 10 million cases mark being reached so quickly.
'Grave concerns': COVID-19's surge in Sunbelt states shows the virus, not testing, to blame Well um duh isn't that usually what causes a surge in case numbers? I mean people who feel ill, who are ill and or not present for testing as well. Most well people aren't likely to present themselves for testing unless they're hypochondriacs because most well people have more interesting and important things to do with their lives than stand in line waiting to have a cotton swab shoved up into their sinus cavities. Usually only people who think they need such a thing, do that and that's usually those who aren't feeling well and think they might have the disease.
Helping seniors fight 'infodemic': Poynter's MediaWise combats misinformation Okay, I have a lot to say about this starting with the information posted here is mainly drawn from "mainstream media" like CTV, CBC, Yahoo, CBS, CNN, USA Today (where this story is posted), ABC, BBC, and so on and a lot of the weirder stories or conspiracy related stories have come from their very sites. But having spent 7 years doing research for a talk show host in the US that talked about contentious issues and some in the "conspiracy theories" realm, and researching the behind the story stories, like actual gov't documents, and other credible sources, I can tell you that most, not all, but most conspiracy theories have a lot of credibility to them, though some are indeed credulous, or maybe I should say yet unproven
Because of information coverups in all governments world wide on sensitive issues we aren't likely to find the truth out about a lot of things for years to come, if ever, and all we have to go on for the moment is rumours and innuendos, or coincidental facts that all seems to point to the same thing.
For those who would pooh pooh me about the government coverups and say I'm sounding a lot like a conspiracy theorist right now.... All you have to do is look at the Kennedy assassination where the file was sealed and even now there's still 3 portions that Trump is holding until October 26, 2021. And in October 2017, 2,800 files about the 1963 murder were made public for the first time. So they can and they indeed do cover things up, as this well known case demonstrates.
But we can also use our own brains to reason and think things out for ourselves and our own educational backgrounds and commonsense to see if something being put forward makes any sense or not to us, to discern whether it's true or not.
Like me, I was just totally dumbfounded in the beginning of this (before, back in January when the Chinese gov't admitted the "epidemic" as they were calling it, to the world) and the Canadian and world governments just letting everyone and everything from China continue to come into the country (all countries and not just Canada actually) and didn't demand any mandatory quarantine of those coming in. And when they did start asking incoming travellers from China to quarantine it was on a voluntary basis and I was just flummoxed, because I know as I'm sure everyone else reading this knows, that when anyone has been told to stay home because they had a bad cold or flu and voluntarily quarantine themselves, what they did instead. That being, continue on with their lives as usual until they weren't able to anymore because they were too sick to do so. Meanwhile they contaminated everyone and everything else that they came into contact with while they were staggering around sick like a dog. We all know that. So why would anyone think that anyone coming into the country is going to voluntarily self quarantine for 14 days and not go out for things when they need them or go to work or school if their job or semester/marks were in jeopardy if they didn't. I mean we have to be realistic and realize that they should've been mandatorily quarantined in a place designated by the government for that purpose. Then we wouldn't have had so many cases in the country because guaranteed by the time they started running out of room to quarantine people, they'd have shut the borders down to further incoming travellers, because it was starting to cost the gov't too much to do otherwise.
But I was using my own educational background in medicine - specifically nursing to make those assessments about what was going on and about how badly they were handling it. Which given that Tam was (or is at least supposed to be) a medical doctor, I had to question WHY? And I still do.
So while I may present a lot of different angles and "theories" or facts here that all seems to conflict with each other, what I am doing is posting whatever I find and allowing you to make up your own mind based on the story, all the other surrounding stories on the same subject, your own background knowledge and beliefs and maybe my 2 cents worth that I usually add in, in the side comments beside each link. I am not trying to push any particular angle or theory or fact, I will though be happy to ridicule and discredit the ones I don't believe (again based on my knowledge because I don't like seeing people being duped into believing BS, or falling for harmful "potential remedies".). It's up to you to discern for yourself and agree or disagree with my assessments though, as you choose.
There's a lot of contentious issues surrounding this particular subject and some the governments (from local all the way to the top of the UN maybe) may not want you to know about, from Henry Kissingers' "get rid of the useless eaters" conspiracy (which I guess is embodied in the UN Agenda 21 at the UN - though I never did find it, even though I spent an entire evening perusing the text of that agenda - there's a link to the full PDF text of it, in my blog - click on label in the sidebar to find it).
Then there's The Gate Foundation the WEF and the US Military all colluding to launch and test a bioweapon and make a vaccine for it as a world wide initiative (to inoculate every living soul on earth against it ergo something like 7-9 billion clients for that one product (Imagine the 💸 flying in on that one)). That according to some may or may not have other components from biochips (to track & control) to viruses (to further reduce population) in it. That's one more conspiracty theory. This one though does have some evidence to back it up.
Another is that this whole thing was planned in order to crash the economy to align the world in a one world economic system using the same currency and government (1 world government), while making the rich richer and poor poorer (because of the rich's abilities to scavenge the assets of the poor, that they had to give up as a result of the economic consequences they suffered due to the pandemic). I guess the economic melt down going on around us, would tend to back this theory up.
Then there's other less malevolent theories like the Chinese made this virus and released it, thinking they'd have control of Gilead Sciences patent for redemsevir which is what they worked on together to try to fight the virus, and be able to use that as a bargaining chip to gain favours and powers in other parts of the world and to make money with. This too has some evidence to support it.
Then of course there's the weird wild wacky theory of G5 cell towers working with the virus to make everyone sick and kill everyone (though I don't know what their end goal in that theory is for or who stands to benefit).
So it's anyone's guess about the theories, if there's any one particular one behind it, or if this just happened and all of those parties are basically trying to take advantage of it, and that they didn't cause it, but are only trying to benefit from it. You have to judge for yourself, I guess.
Bolton says Trump turned 'a blind eye' to the coronavirus pandemic Trust me, Trump isn't the only one that did. Most leaders did. Including Trudeau, who probably still wouldn't have declared anything to do with the pandemic if his wife didn't come back from the UK with it, and Ford and Legault acted on it to close their borders & schools and make their populations go into lockdowns. He'd probably still be walking around oblivious to it all, if it weren't for those things.
As America reopens, I fear I'll be isolating for years Same here with us in Canada. My husband and I both felt like we were taking our lives into our hands to go out to our favourite restaurant on Friday night for a meal, but it's something we were missing and really wanted and so took the risk, even though we know we probably shouldn't have. We don't plan on doing that too often though, but it was good for the soul, to get out and do something that felt like fun and normal. Too much of what we've been doing since lockdown was routine, mundane and just to live (but not live in the sense of enjoying life, but live in the sense of continuing to take care of ourselves and not get sick and just to continue on living). We needed something to perk ourselves up a bit and that was what we did. Though we both agree we shouldn't do that very often until we're in the clear again.
The country where hundreds of thousands of people haven't heard of Covid-19 This story almost implies that because the net is shut down over there, that they've had very few cases of it despite the large number of tests done. So this would seem to insinuate that COVID19 is a psychosomatic disease, in that if you didn't hear about it, you aren't likely to get it. Come to think of it, I do remember a few reports that contended those who spent all their time immersed in news about it would get it. Well, you can tell by this blog that I pretty much do, but yet I don't have it. Although I probably did have it at the beginning of January when everyone here tells me oh no that's not possible because we didn't have any here until March, while the Quebec Pharmacists Association claims it was here in December 2019 at least. But when I had it, there was no news about it out there, at least not in Canada.
'It looked like South Beach, Florida': Ontarians spark closures, worry after crowding beaches So Ontario can look forward to a massive resurgence of the virus like Florida is currently experiencing I guess.
The CDC Lost Control Of The Coronavirus Pandemic. Then The Agency Disappeared. Yup the losers always seems to fade out of the scene while the winners or those dominating the show are upfront continually beating their chests trying to take credit for everything.
COVID-19 vaccine may not work in older people, experts say Now this one I have to question..... WHY???? Why would it not work in older people? Is that because they don't think they'll be able to make enough to inoculate everyone so they're going to continue feeding the older people to the virus like they've been doing, in order to have enough for everyone else? Or is it because they think the older people wouldn't want the vaccine due to other components of it? Like say biochips that track and or control people? Or they don't want to waste the other components like potential biochips and/or population reduction viruses that might be included in that vaccine (getting back to the Gates Foundation conspiracies)? I question that, like I questioned the BS about not needing masks when it was a respiratory disease we were dealing with and we were being told we didn't need masks because the medical professionals wanted to hoard whatever few numbnuts et. al. didn't send to China. So I'm questioning this, because this is the very first time in my entire life I'm hearing that a vaccine may not work on the elderly.
Ontario premier extends state of emergency but hopes it's for the last time I can tell you, just by the pictures I saw of your population gathered at beaches, it won't be the last time, for a long time to come.
Nova Scotia goes two weeks without a report of a new COVID-19 case That's really good. Now I wish we could have the same report here in Quebec!
Staying sober during COVID-19 can be a struggle, says recovering alcoholic Staying awake is a real struggle for me. It's awful, anytime after supper no matter what I'm doing, unless it involves standing up or walking, I can just fall asleep like that, without even knowing it.
Quebec shifts to weekly COVID-19 infection reports as cases slow This is basically what prompted me to say I'm going to be doing a less comprehensive once a week coverage of the COVID19 stories in the news and despite their reversal on this, I still intend to do a once a week coverage, after I finish with this comprehensive coverage suite of messages (there's probably going to be at least 1 more if not 2 after this one in coming days). My focus will mainly be on the most important ones that I think everyone should know, whatever pertains to the seniors of Quebec and Canada, and in the southwest region of Quebec, with the odd weird one thrown in for good measure. But it won't be so comprehensive anymore covering everything happening everywhere or even in the US unless it's major.
Worst case estimates coming true, WHO expects a million more COVID-19 infections by next week I think I heard on the news the other night that we went from 9 million infections world wide to 10 million in just 10 days.
City warns of cuts in 2021 if upper governments don't cough up emergency funding I'd seriously love to know where all the various cities monies have gone during this pandemic, especially Montreal's considering Plante did her best to rob citizens blind during the pandemic, using the 2 meter social distancing rule as a means to impose heavy duty fines on everyone. I'm sure she made plenty of money out of that considering that about 75% of the 13 million dollars collected in fines country wide was collected here in Quebec.

Exclusive: Vaccine alliance finds manufacturing capacity for 4 billion doses of coronavirus vaccines Is this one of the reasons why they say the vaccine isn't likely to work on seniors? Because they don't have enough manufacturing capacity to make enough vaccine to supply everyone and so they don't want to vaccinate the seniors until or unless they can make enough for everyone and in the meantime they'll be sacrificing the seniors lives in order to vaccinate everyone else? Seems like it might be the case.

Fed up families exploring private school options If the parents are being called back to work but the schools where their kids go are relying on the internet and the kids staying home and taking classes online, I can certainly understand why they are looking at private school options. However, given that most parents who own their own homes, pay school taxes to the public school system, they should fight for what they're paying for and demand that school resumes and for the government to stop jerking them around over it.

Restaurant chains jump on ghost kitchen trend to boost sales during COVID-19 For the life of me, I'll never understand why this concept of take out and delivery is such a new idea in other places outside of Quebec. University of B.C. study warns wildfire smoke could make COVID-19 symptoms worse They should've reworded the title to say "wildfire smoke will make" it's not a could, would or should but a given as in a will situation here. I think that's partially why the Chinese had the virus so rough because of the horrible air pollution they had over there at the time this started. Air quality affects those with breathing problems and those who have COVID19 definitely have breathing problems considering it affects their lungs.

Oromocto doctor says physicians 'must have freedom' to sound alarm for safety risks I agree, but risks to the public and not just to themselves. The doctors should've had the freedom to call out Tam and sound the alarm on how she was mishandling this pandemic and prescribed what should've been done instead in order to avoid all this pain, agony, cost, death and sorrow we've gone through on account of her negligence and the negligence of every doctor in the country that failed to sound the alarm for safety risks over that.
Antibody test accuracy lower during first 14 days of Covid-19 symptoms This is normal. When your body first starts fighting a previously unknown virus it takes time to learn how to fight it and then to build up sufficient antibodies in your bloodstream in order to fight it. So of course your antibody count is lower in the 1st 14 days. For the medical establishment this should be a no-brainer and not even newsworthy. So why is it in the news anyhow?

It's not just you -- there's a sudden wave of fireworks exploding in cities across the US I couldn`t understand the connection between all the fireworks stories and the pandemic, until I read this story. Most other stories I read, described the disturbances and some of the incidents caused by the fireworks and how authorities were or weren`t dealing with it etc but none really related it to the virus.
The old 'Twilight Zone' speaks to the strange times we're living in better than the new one I wouldn`t know about the new series of it, but my husband & I used to watch the old series, whenever it was on and we could and I myself thought that it felt an awful lot like living through one of the plots on the show, these days.

Barring Quebecers from sleep stops in New Brunswick too risky, says MNA for Magdalen Islands Hey I have an idea that`ll fix the people from NB & PEI wanting to go out west..... If Quebec and Ontario do to them like they do to us, gang up on them collectively and not let them stop to sleep eat or use the washroom at all all the way through the 2 provinces of Quebec & Ontario. hehehehe That would fix their wagons in a hurry especially if they`re travelling via the Trans Canada. Just getting through the province of Quebec alone nonstop except for gas, is about 8 hours maybe 10 depending on road conditions and driving speed. But getting through Ontario alone on the Trans Canada is almost 2 days straight (about 18 hours at least). So um yeah let`s see them go 26-28 hours without a bathroom break, food (unless they packed their own to eat while in car and enroute) or sleep and see how they fair.... Wondering how many moose, cars, trees, semis etc they`ll hit along the way.... Hey like they say, what`s fair for the goose is fair for the gander.... So maybe the ganders ought to get a taste of their own medicine. Like my husband says "bulgy cheeks and toothpicks under eyelids".

Bill Gates: US 'not even close' to doing enough to fight pandemic Yes and we should listen to Dr. Bill Gates, after all he's the preeminent doctor of our times. I'm sorry but he's a cheat and a fraud and I hold him in contempt and I'm inclined to believe more about the conspiracy theories surrounding him than anything he says, because he's a proven liar. He made his start in life by lying and ripping someone else's computer operating system off from them Gary Kildall's CP/M operating system, renaming it MS-DOS and as they say the rest is history. So I've always held him in low esteem since the early 80s and have rarely ever believed a word that came out of his mouth unless he proved it or lived up to it. Given all the controversies about his work with vaccines in Africa and there's so many of them that at least one if not more or maybe even all of them must be true. Not everyone can be lying about everything said about him and his vaccines. Trouble is I haven't had the time yet to sort it all out to know what's what. So for now, I'm just holding whatever he says with high skepticism in my mind. Personally I don't even know why the media even goes to computer hacker and cheat for medical advice. That's like asking Howdy Dewdy to come up with a plan for the economy and expecting it to be wonderful.

‘Tricking’ coronavirus to stop spread: Innovative ‘nanosponges’ act as decoys, ‘mop up’ virus Um in this case, I'm pretty sure, I'd rather have the virus than the "cure", because I know if I can beat the virus and live I'm likely to develop antibodies which will fight any more attacks by the same virus in the future, whereas I am not sure what plastic in my system will do to me over time (if my body will attack it because it doesn't recognize it as it's own, or if the plastic will just break down over time in my body or if it'll seep poisons/chemicals into my bloodstream or what). But I know the antibodies will be my own natural defense that my body made in order to fight the virus and since my body made them it's not likely to try to attack them.

Are Streamers Muzzling Controversial Documentaries? Of course they are. They've muzzled David Icke because of his stance on the Coronavirus (which is basically the same as most everyone else's except they didn't post their thoughts on YouTube so they've not been censored the way he was). They muzzled the immunologist doctor's "Plandemic" video and she had to find a server where she could have her own account and post it. The muzzled Michael Moore's video about the environment and the green movement. All of which are linked from my blog, except David Icke's (well the links to the original censored YouTube programs are still here) because I don't know where to find where he might've reposted those videos of his, if he did. So we have plenty of examples just going from this blog to censored streaming content. So if they're trying to say they don't then, they're full of you know what. Don't you!?!

COVID-19 is a wily virus. Can humans outsmart it? I hope we can.
Severe COVID-19 can damage the brain, preliminary study finds
Could Doomsday Bunkers Become the New Normal? Oh geez, I hope not. Things are gloomy enough as they are without seeing bunkers everywhere.
INSIGHT-Car crashes deadlier as drivers speed during lockdowns Considering they go insane speeds or pull insane stunts, it's little wonder that they're deadlier.
Spring breakers may have brought COVID-19 back to their communities, study says Probably. I wouldn't doubt it.
Liz Cheney posts photo of former VP in face mask and says 'real men wear masks' hehehehe..... Sorry but I can't help it. When she said "real men wear masks" and used him as an example I just couldn't help going back to 9/11 where he was hiding out in a bunker while I pictured him quivering and shaking and slobbering and crying like a little girl in sheer terror. I mean why would real men feel like they needed to hide in a bunker? If they're real men they should be brave enough to face the thing head on like all other American men were doing that day. He was the only one snivelling and cowering in a bunker, everyone else was above ground facing things head on and doing what they could (if they could - as in being within proximity etc...) to help, rather than hiding like he was.
Argentina tightens Buenos Aires lockdown as coronavirus cases surge I have a friend in Buenos Aires that I haven't heard from in a couple of weeks. I hope she's alright.
More evidence emerges of the coronavirus slipping in through LAX I'm sure that's true of almost all airports around the world and not just LAX.

Six Months That Shook the World
I think I'll leave it there for the night and return with more tomorrow until I finally finish what I have and then it'll be once a week except for other things that may be fun or of interest, unless there's some major that happens or we're put into lockdown again. By the way things are going, I wouldn't doubt that we will be in lockdown, but I hope we can continue to enjoy some freedom at least for awhile before that happens.
