COVID19 Coverage

Continues....

Courtesy Pixabay.com

July 31, 2020

I wasn't able to get much done on the computer today, because someone and I shan't name names, kept disconnecting the network.... Allegedly to chase down and eradicate a couple of viruses from the other computer and him not wanting the network on to expose the unprotected computer to even more viruses.  So as a result, that meant this computer couldn't get online either.

Nevertheless I did manage to do a cursory scan for today's headlines to do with the virus and I'm not sure I got them all, but I did get quite a few, so I shall try to get as much posted here as I can time permitting.

So here we go.....

Saudi Hajj coronavirus curbs mean 'no work, no salary, nothing'  Doesn't everyone in Saudi Arabia already get free money given to them? So if that's the case, even though he can't work, he should still be alright, no?

'My Tanzanian family is split over coronavirus'  Divisive views in the same family.

Coronavirus: 'Mum died while we were at dad's funeral'  Stories like this are always super sad.

International students turn to food banks in lockdown  You'd think that them being international students that their parents who probably paid for them to be there, would be able to send them some money in order to buy food. I mean if you as a parent are rich enough to afford plane fare, tuition, rent and utilities on a room/flat/whatever in the city where the school is, that you'd also be rich enough to afford a few hundred dollars extra a month at least until the pandemic is over with to feed your kid too.

Good news prevails: 100 positive things that happened in 2020 (so far)  A little diversion. I'm sure we could all stand some, so enjoy.

COVID coping: In the pandemic, getting through the day feels like a project

U.S. records a coronavirus death every minute as total surpasses 150,000   This is very scary and very sad as well.

LA City Council Proposals Would Pay COVID-Positive Angelenos To Self-Quarantine

Almost 30 Million in U.S. Didn’t Have Enough to Eat Last Week   Another sad commentary about the effects this virus is having on people's lives.

Bill Gates: Spread of 'outrageous' coronavirus video shows flaw in social media platforms I can't help it.... I can't. But I can't stand that lying finnagler at all. I've known about his lying BS since the late 70s early 80s when he stole Gary Kildall's CP/M operating system to sell it to IBM as their operating system for their early desktop computers, which he then renamed MS-DOS, and on it went from there, from that to basically "stealing" Apple's GUI (Graphic User Interface) to use for  Windows 3.1 and well on it goes. He does nothing, absolutely nothing, unless he stands to make a buck on it. And the reason he seems to be so vehement about anything at all that might detract people from his vaccines is because this was the pie in the sky wet dream of his, where he could supply 8 billion people world wide with a vaccine in return for payment of course. He's not just going to distribute 8 billion doses of vaccine for free.... No way, someone will have to pay for it, whether it's the governments themselves or the individual recieving the vaccine. That's for sure. But he's realized the logistics of that now and so instead of having his company do it all, he's investing in several other companies around the world - from which he'll reap profits on his shares. This is all about money and I think the reason he's so vehement about this video (which he was careful not to name but nevertheless was easy to find) is because I think he's afraid that a lot of people will believe it and opt for that treatment instead of the vaccines he's got tons of money already invested in. Just watch this video of him muted and watch his facial expressions and hand movements. He's worked up and angry. If he doesn't watch it, he'll have a heart attack (if he has a heart that is), because he's so angry. I guess I would be too, if I had billions invested in vaccines that I thought I'd make gazillions on once they were developed, but someone's trying to taking the air out of my balloon by promoting a much cheaper and older remedy that might even be as good or better than my vaccines I've been working on. I'd probably blow a few gaskets as well.

Dr Stella Emmanuel - DOCTORS, STOP BEING COMPLICIT; RISE UP! I do believe this might be the video or one of the ones he holds in vehement contempt.

DOCTORS SILENCED BY SOCIAL MEDIA ABOUT COVID-19 AND HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE TREATMENT  Or perhaps it's this one....  I think it's more likely this one.  In any case, I know nothing at all about this drug in question, so can't even give an educated guess as to whether it might possibly work or not. I am just posting the information as I find it and it's up to the reader/viewer to make up their own minds. When I know something for a fact, I'm not afraid of posting it, like what I said about Bill Gates above, I stand by all of it, because it's all true. So I just pointed those facts out to you, in order for you to judge for yourself.

Mike Pence Met With Group Behind Viral Coronavirus Misinformation Video  With so much going on behind the scenes, with the money invested in producing a vaccine for this virus and all the people who have vested interests in those vaccines like Fauci, Gates, various members of the CDC and others, how can you trust it when one of those factions or laboratory involved with one of those entities declares something useless against the very thing they've sunk their life savings into combating via another method - namely a vaccine?  Because right now, I'm not so sure that that drug doesn't work, given the amount of doctors saying it does, versus the players named in this particular blurb, who all have their fortunes pinned to a viable vaccine instead. I know one thing for sure though. Gates is not, & never was a MEDICAL DOCTOR. Fauci is, but he's already been named to be a crooked, conniving, controlling, opportunist in the Plandemic video, who probably has no qualms about quashing anything that ruins his chances at making a gazillion dollars on something.

Dr. Fauci: Wear goggles or eye shields to prevent spread of COVID-19; flu vaccine a must If the Chinese Dr. in Wuhan didn't mention this, I'd think it was just another Fauci scam (because maybe he has shares in eye shields and goggles, who knows with him?) Because that Chinese Dr. mentioned it was being contracted via eyes too, I believe him. Trouble is though where do you get those face shields from? I'd much rather wear one of those than a mask any day, but I can't wear goggles because I also wear glasses and I'm afraid goggles (or at least all the ones I've seen) won't fit over my glasses.

Besides steal CP/M from Gary Kildall and Jobs's GUI????? Musk has to be the smartest person on the planet right now! Beside him you look like a total thieving dunce! That man Musk has to be light years beyond you in intelligence! You're too stupid to even read the daily case, death and recovery rate of the virus and realize it's nothing more than a bad cold or flu. At least Musk realizes it, and says it. You though Gates are so freaking idiotic you can't even figure that out without being told. I get it though. You want everyone to believe it's worse than it really is and to be terrified enough to succumb to getting vaccinated for it, as you have billions invested in those vaccines hoping to make gazillions from it. But not everyone is as stupid and as scared as you think they are!

Bill Gates: We will have a coronavirus vaccine, but the disease will keep coming back if there's a US 'leadership vacuum' I guess Trump doesn't want to play ball with the conniving "philanthropist" so he's sticking his nose where it doesn't belong now. Someone really ought to shut the gate on Gates. He's just getting really super annoying now, where he thinks he's the know-it-all of the world. When like I pointed out above Musk has probably more brains in a single cell in his body than Gates has in his whole body.

Why is the government insisting no one knew about asymptomatic spread of COVID-19?  Well given the news that came out recently about little kids, I think I know who those super spreaders and asymptomatic spreaders might be.... Are you going to tell me that years after this virus has been eradicated we'll still be working from home, doing elbow bumps, not playing outside, not hugging, not meeting someone at a bar or just on a whim in person? So the human race is going to stay totally paranoid for the rest of humankind's existance? Seriously? I for one can't wait to get back to normal. To being in groups/crowds, to shaking hands, to hugging people, even to meeting strangers and talking to them face to face, to living life instead of being afraid of little thing and for not valid reason, other than "just because".

Nothing like trying to make things seem worse than they really are. Huh? Advanced Anniversary Present &

Coronavirus Headlines

Courtesy Pixabay.com

July 24, 2020

As we had to go out and do an errand today, we decided to get ourselves a shared anniversary present, as tomorrow is our 45th anniversary. So we went and bought one of those ink tank printers. It's supposed to be way cheaper than printer cartridges and print way more pages than a printer cartridge printer prints per cartridge. This is the model we got EcoTank ET-2760 All-in-One Cartridge-Free Supertank Printer . It's good I went to that page, as I was totally unaware that it has voice activated printing as well, which my husband will love. I am super wary about voice activated anythings myself because of what/who might be listening and what might be stored/recorded for later reference by unknown parties. Anyhow, it's the one my husband chose and if it makes it easier for him to use, so I don't have to do all the printing for him, then Yippie! That's awesome. But if it's voice activated and he still has problems using it, then I don't know....

What fueled this purchase? Total and utter disgust at the price of the ink cartridges for our old HP printer. Just the cartridges alone were half the cost of that printer. It's freaking ridiculous when ink costs almost as much as a new printer does. A couple years ago we bought a little Canon Pixma printer for less than the cost of one ink cartridge for the HP printer. We still have it and use it once in a while. It's a nice little printer and the ink cartridges on it, aren't so expensive so we use it for the laptop computer.  But um yeah, this is the second printer purchase we made because of the cost of ink cartridges for the HP.  And maybe we wouldn't have, if it had an option to print if there was still black ink left, despite other colours being empty. But nooooo..... You can print once using black only if another colour ink cartridge is empty, otherwise you have to have all your cartridges containing ink even if you wish to print only in black.  That was enough for me. I'd had it and decided I'm tired of that ridiculous scam and if I have to be scammed like that, then the ink better last longer and be cheaper too.

We had an awesome Brother inkjet printer that we had for years - I think 8 years and it was still good and working when we gave it away. That one allowed us to print even if we had only black ink left and so it ran like that for years unless we had graphics or pictures to print. When our son was doing his Interior Design course at Dawson and had stuff to print out in colour is when we invested in colour cartridges for it, otherwise we just used black and were fine for the longest time like that.

So when we got the HP and discovered we couldn't print unless all the cartridges had ink in them, that was frustrating. But after awhile it gets to the point where you wonder why you even use a printer like that anymore. So that's what spurred today's purchase. Just tired of being held hostage over this colour or that colour or whatever colour even when we want to only print in black and the exorbitant cost of them.

Now off to make some beef teriyaki kebabs for the BBQ and some rice to have with them, for dinner....  BRB....

Pull up a comfy seat, get your glasses and a cool drink and dive in to the following COVID19 related stories:

Coronavirus: Harmful lies spread easily due to lack of UK law   In other words the government wants only their version of things known, and not the real truth.

Coronavirus: Why are Americans so angry about masks?  Probably because they don't like being told what to do by their governments all the time. Can't say as I blame them, really.

Black, Latino and poor people are less likely to get $1,200 coronavirus stimulus checks, new report says  This is just sad and the excuses given are like they know that this will prevent these groups from getting that money too. So what happened to good ole paper checks sent out in the mail for those who don't have the bank accounts or things like that? Just because they're too poor to actually need a bank account doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to have that money. They probably need more than the rest of the people out there do.

Study says actual number of Covid-19 cases is far greater than thought  Of course it is! What'd they think anyhow? Especially considering a lot of people probably had really mild cases of it and maybe didn't even realize that that's what they had and continued going about life as per usual without taking any medication or self-quarantining etc.

Mom who lost two kids to Covid-19: Take this seriously  Very, very sad. Losing one kid is sad, but 2? I had a hard time coping with the loss of my adult daughter to cancer, I can't imagine losing 2 young kids around the same time. I'd be a basket case probably

Bankruptcies surging as coronavirus levels the U.S. economy  I'm sure that was part of the plan all along.

The East Coast heat wave isn't helping COVID-19 efforts  We've had so many heat waves this summer and are looking at another one starting tomorrow, I'm sick of it already. I can't stand the heat at all, but this summer is almost right on par with the summer of 2018 where it was so unbarely hot I couldn't stand to go outside at all. Same thing happening again and you can tell by looking at my garden. Last year this time my garden was awesome looking with just the wanted plants growing and a lot of them had already produced a lot food by this time last year. So far this year all we've gotten out of the garden is leafy greens like kale, lettuce, mustard and spinach and1 cucumber. This year and a few before are so discouraging I doubt I'll have another garden next year.

How Deadly Is Covid-19? Researchers Are Getting Closer to an Answer  Basically, it looks like it's on par with the flu because 5 - 10 people per thousand is 0.5% - 1% and so we're being forced to wear masks, stay in lockdown and crash our economies for that?

People are more likely to contract COVID-19 at home, study finds Okay but someone had to contract it outside the home and bring it in. It didn't just knock on the door and invite itself inside, it came into the home lodged in someone's respiratory tract. So someone brought it into the home, and that was probably someone who lives there. But it came in from the outside via someone in the home contracting it from someone else outside the home.

Red rash-like splotches in the MOUTH may be a new symptom of coronavirus, Spanish study suggests  More symptoms to watch for.  There's lots more in the previous post on here.

Split societies, global chaos and World War Three: We could be in for the most tumultuous era in modern history   Isn't this guy just a bowl full of laughs? Wow! Talk about pessimism overload....

Coronavirus: 'Infection here for many years to come'  I'm sure this is something we've all been waiting to hear. Said rather snidely.

Why making plans helps manage pandemic stress  When you're busy doing stuff or planning to do stuff, you don't have time to stress about the pandemic.  Trust me.

Is video dating here to stay?  I can't even imagine that. How does that work? Does he pretend he's taking you out to a fancy Italian restaurant and cooks up Chef Boy Ar-Dee for himself (but doesn't let you see the can), while you sit at the other end of the telecommunications connection watching him stuff his face with his pasta, while you sit there with your tuna sandwich and try to pretend it some  fancy Italian dish? I mean how do you video date? How does that work exactly? And then after he scarfs down his Chef-boy-Ar-dee does he try to seduce you by trying to convince you he took you out for an expensive Italian meal and so now you owe him so you'd better do some sexting stuff with him? Is that how it works? Just wondering....
Coronavirus updates: US reports more than 1,000 deaths for the first time since May 29; CDC says virus rates 10x higher

Swedish epidemiology boss says questioned COVID-19 strategy seems to be working  Well considering they have a population of 10 million and Quebec has a population of 8 million and the death rates are comparable, even though Quebec when into overdrive on locking everyone and everything down for months on end and Sweden didn't lock anything or anyone down. Just for comparison this article says "Sweden's death toll of 5,646" , in comparison to Quebec's current figures for July 24th (today's date) is: 5,663. So what was the point of all those measures the Quebec gov't went overboard taking anyhow? To wind up with more deaths per capita than Sweden who took no measures???? Just want to know why we went through all of that to wind up with a worse death rate than Sweden.

People are using honest obituaries to blame governors for coronavirus deaths and invite them to their loved ones' funerals  I don't blame them. I'm only wondering when the arrests for crimes against humanity and genocide starts and lawsuits against the various authorities in charge? Because that is bound to happen eventually.

Catching Up to

The Current Coronavirus News

Looks Like It Might Take Awhile

 Courtesy Pixabay.com

June 22, 2020

The way things are going lately, I'll be amazed if I ever catch up with the current day's coronavirus news. You'd think being a senior and being at home 99% of the time, there would be plenty of time to attend to a blog or something of interest like a hobby or something.

Nope. Not in my life, not so far. Things just consistently keep going wrong and causing me never ending work. Murphy's Law  is working on me overtime I think. My mother used to say "there's no rest for the wicked". So I guess that means I must be plenty wicked as I can't seem to catch a break at all.

One thing, I'll say is I don't have time to get bored and time is flying by like crazy. So at least there's that.

Anyhow, as per usual, I'll post what I can and have it published before midnight so that the date on the post is current.

Early research suggests people with Type O blood are slightly less likely to get the coronavirus  I can back up the less likely to develop a severe case if they get it, contention, based on my own experience.

4 dead, 26 hospitalized in Arizona after ingesting tainted hand sanitizer  I guess people have lost their taste for Lysol and nail polish remover, now it's hand sanitizer the new cheap high in town. 'Cept the bottles of hand sanitizer I've bought recently weren't all that cheap - $15 a bottle. You can get some pretty decent wine or even small bottles of the hard stuff for that price even here in Canada. So why are they drinking the stuff there anyhow? Talk about hardcore alcoholics.

Coronavirus: US v other countries... did it mess up its reopening?  The way I see it, is the people there were getting sick of the lockdowns and would've broken them anyhow, if they didn't reopen when they did. Americans don't take kindly to being ordered around by their government, because they are probably the only population on earth that realizes the government is supposed to work for the people and it's the voting taxpaying people who tell the elected government officials what to do and not the other way around.  Like most other populations on earth who believe the people are the pawns of the government and supposed to do the government's bidding instead of it being the opposite, where the government is supposed to do the people's bidding.

Capt Sir Tom Moore knighted in 'unique' ceremony  Remember this guy? He well deserves the knighthood, at least he worked for his and it wasn't bought, like most of the others are. And this is the reason the Queen came out of lockdown as reported earlier. So good for him.

Coronavirus tests: Swabs don't damage the brain and other claims fact-checked  hehehehe That's a good one, "swabs don't damage the brain". Who even thought they would to start with? hehehehe...

Uncounted millions had COVID-19 symptoms, but no positive test  They're finally starting to clue into what I've been saying since the virus was announced by the Chinese gov't in January.

Nurse: Despite coronavirus pandemic, hospital patients need their loved ones at their side  This should've been allowed since the beginning. It was just cruel and heartless to forbid them to be there and in some cases probably downright dangerous as there was no one there to advocate for their loved ones who might've been comatose or on a respirator and sedated much if not all of the time.

How close is Russia to developing a Covid-19 vaccine? Probably pretty close if they're stealing all the formulas of the western vaccine manufacturers, given that they claim they're close themselves.

Inside a factory producing vials for a potential COVID-19 vaccine  For those who are curious about how things are made...

Without Wi-Fi, low-income Latino students resorted to doing homework in parking lots to access public hotspots  Because of all the shutdowns of places like libraries and schools and not having wifi at home, some have had to resort to this.

Active coronavirus cases in Canada plummet as Quebec changes recovery criteria  This should've been done long ago. Why'd they keep those who recovered on the active cases list for so long anyhow?

TikTok video shows Sault teen buying alcohol in LCBO dressed as senior, wearing mask   I guess that's one example of why masks shouldn't be made mandatory....

The risk of catching COVID-19 from contaminated surfaces, objects is ‘negligible,’ scientist says  I think this study was done some time ago and they found that the virus was able to remain active on different surfaces for different periods of time. So what is it? Negligible, or a few hours to a day or more?

Young people living with their parents could receive $11.8 billion from CERB  Yup, sounds like the  Trudeau government, always helping the well off while ignoring those who actually need the help like the seniors and disabled etc....

Bank of Canada exploring digital currency that would replace cash, track how people spend money  I hardly think that most people  would see the "benefits of a digital currency include the sharing of personal information with police or tax authorities". I know I wouldn't. Not that I have all that much money to hide or do much with, just I don't think every Tom, Dick and Harry with a keyboard needs to know my income and spending habits.  I personally wouldn't accept this at all. Allow them to do this, then you might as well have them install video cameras and microphones in your bedrooms and bathrooms too, where all the data goes directly to the police and government departments (probably health and social services and then maybe the census dept, so they can figure out how many people are going to be having babies this year and how many died in bed and do the actuaries in real time). I mean where does it stop? If you allow this, they'll just keep right on encroaching more and more in your lives so it's time you told them where the line is drawn and you won't accept this. I won't and I hope that I don't live long enough to see something like this enacted here in Canada, because then we've really become a police state for sure. And is this why they're trying to crash the economy anyhow, using this pandemic as the opportunity to do it?

J&J in talks with Japan, Gates Foundation over COVID-19 vaccine  And this is another one to be wary of. Anything Gates has his hands in (and so far they seem to be in everything to do with this virus - when I have the time for that article you'll understand this comment) I wouldn't go near with a 10 foot pole as that saying goes.

Coronavirus: Fauci says U.S. currently in a "difficult situation' due to COVID-19 I'd say it's a difficult situation alright. That was pretty much a no brainer. I'd go one further and say they're in the throes of a massive pandemic, as is the rest of the world.

Baby contracts coronavirus in outbreak at Vancouver neonatal ICU  Well that definitely contradicts the contention that kids can't/don't get it. I know they do, because my daughter-in-law who is a nurse at the Montreal Children's had to deal with a baby that had it.

Russia Can’t Afford to Trip Up in the Vaccine Race  Maybe that's why they're busy hacking everyone else's data?

Jamie Oliver's wife Jools reveals she suffered a miscarriage during lockdown   More casualties of the lockdowns around the world.

'They should not be going ashore': U.S. vessels in B.C. waters rattle Vancouver Island boaters  They're not going to be content until the entire North American continent is raging with this virus like they are in the US. They're bound and bent they're going to come up and do whatever they want whether they have the virus or not.

Sask. Opposition questions differing approach to northern, southern COVID outbreaks  I found Saskatchewan to be one of the most prejudiced provinces in Canada when I lived there and when I last visited there in 2018.

Australia PM delays parliament as coronavirus spreads  They're starting to sound like Trudeau and his gang of merrymen & women.

Coronavirus LIVE Updates: Banned Due to Covid-19, US Passenger Flights to India Can Resume from July 23; In a First, World Records 1 Million Cases in 100 Hours I don't know why any country let alone India would allow Americans back into their country right now with the high case & death counts going on in the US right now.

Iran estimates up to 25 million virus cases since outbreak  Well then if that's the case, the WHO's numbers are all off!

Collecting CERB? Here’s How Much You May Have to Pay in Taxes to the CRA Next Year Typical government. Give with one hand and take away with the other.

Feds order supplies to give two doses of COVID-19 vaccine when its ready By the time it's ready we'll probably have acquired our own immunity the hard way, so they may not need so many doses.

Parisians pull out swimwear, masks and head for sand-free Covid-wise beach  This doesn't look like much fun, but I suppose it's still better than dying of heat stroke.

Coronavirus: Feds expand COVID-19 disability grant to include more groups  Finally some of the disabled people in Canada will be getting something. Though what they're getting and what the seniors got (two of the most vulnerable groups in Canada) in comparison to what most everyone else got, is more or less an insult, rather than any real help.
