Just Another Blase Day Because of the Weather &

 Covid19

What a drab & dreary day! Made worse by the fact that the coronavirus is still floating around out there and as a result we're under lockdown.  I can't name much that I accomplished today except maybe doing dishes and cleaning up the kitchen after supper. I didn't even cook supper I let my husband do it. I just arranged all the ingredients to go into it and let him cook it. It was really good. It was curry mango chicken, rice & yellow beans, with sliced cucumbers on the side. The curry mango sauce is store bought but he used the chicken cubes I cooked earlier this summer when the freezer went on the fritz and a mango that I cut into cubes to add into it. I think that meal was probably the highlight of my day. I probably liked it a lot more than I would've if I were the one that prepared it, but he did and so it was yummy.  But basically most of the day I've been fighting to keep my eyes open and not fall asleep.

I'm beginning to think that maybe I'm suffering from a weird form of depression. One where you aren't sad or worried about things, but just sleepy all the time. Either that or I have the sleeping sickness. But I'm not used to being so sleepy all the time. I used to be an insomniac and had a hard time getting to sleep, now I'm the reverse I can barely stay away long enough to type my name without it being a struggle.  Especially if I'm seated somewhere. If I'm standing up and walking I'm not apt to even feel sleepy let alone doze off as I tend to do these days, but that's the only time I'm not sleepy.

As for my feelings about this stupid pandemic, it's not anxiety, or fear, or sadness, or any of that. It's more like anger - at how the imbeciles in charge let the virus in in the first place and then used it as an excuse to F the economy and everyone's lives over with, instead of implementing quarantines the proper and recommended way. And my marvel at the masses swallowing that BS hook, line and sinker without rebelling en masse.  I get it. Not everyone was trained in the medical field and so they don't know. But jeemus H christopher, everyone should've had a clue about if we let whatever was going around in Wuhan at the time, in here, we'd have the same problem here and demanded the borders be shut down even if the imbeciles in charge weren't so inclined to do that. I mean it wasn't rocket science. It was as plain as the nose on your face, that if that disease got into another country it would ravage that other country like it was doing in China, it wouldn't suddenly change and become more benign and less contagious just because it crossed borders into another country. And I'm angry that whatever few fun things there were to do out there in this world was forbidden or so restricted it was like why bother going in the first place. Even just going to see the fall foliage was restricted because we would've wanted to be going into an other region that wasn't in the red zone to do that. I mean what else?

Oh and while I think of it Bell Canada's cable box is going on the fritz now too so even watching stuff is basically off limits as well. Going to call them if resetting the box doesn't work. Hopefully I remember how to do that, or I'll have to call them anyhow. I'll find out in a few minutes if I remembered properly or not, because by then it should've reset and either work or not work at all.  Whoo Hoo! This old lady's memory isn't as bad as I thought it might be because whatever I did magically fixed the problem with the cable box and our TV.

So I think my sleepiness might have more to do with nothing to keep my mind occupied, I mean with the pandemic it's basically like my friend used to say "it's the same sheite just different day", so no matter how many stories I find and read it's just more of the same boring drivel as far as I'm concerned. When they wake up and start flying right is maybe when I'll wake up too as at least there'll be something of interest to wake up for. In fact, I'm seriously considering putting this blog on hold at the end of this month, until something changes in the pandemic. Either it gets better and things start coming back to some form of normalcy or there's a vaccine, or it gets much much graver and more dire and people need to be alerted to the new measures in order to protect themselves and their loved ones. But I seriously can't see why I would continue listing headline after headline of this kid getting sick in this school and there being an out break at some other school and squabbling over masks. Or this couple defied lockdown orders and got fined and that party host also got fined for defying lockdown orders and that sort of repetitious stuff that is happening everywheres. Or this vaccine is in the works and that one failed or caused problems and Fauci and Trump said..... whatever (both of them are blowing hot air out their mouths as far as I'm concerned) or Santa Trudeau found some other well to do group to give COVID help to while constantly ignoring the homeless, seniors, poor, and disabled. I think there's already more than enough stories in here demonstrating those aspects of the pandemic. So at the end of October I'll put this blog into hibernation and wait until there's major changes one way or the other on the horizon and then re-awaken it. But it'll still be here and accessible to you whenever you wish to visit and read it. In the meantime I'll still give it my best to post as many headlines as I can leading up to that date and to get current with the Oct 31st date.

As we already know.

I wasn't even aware that South Koreans celebrated Thanksgiving. I thought that was a celebration strictly practiced in North America to give thanks for surviving the first winter and reaping the first harvests.

COVID-19 pandemic highlights need to document decisions: Information commissioner That's for sure and the decisions taken should be based on what's best for the country and not for themselves and their families, like junior wanting to go out trick or treating and so the MP decides that they should be allowed to do that, or worse yet the 15 year old wanna be rapper pesters the MP into allowing large  rap concerts or at least that one that the kid wants to see. Things of that nature. Or for selfish reasons like agreeing to speak at a charity for money (as in the WE charity). You know stuff like that.

Well of course. It wouldn't be the Canadian House of Commons if there weren't goofs and glitches. Because that pretty much describes those taking up the seats in there, too.

I thought that was all sorted out now and they had everything they need plus a surplus. Or was that a lie?

The chilling experiment which created the first vaccine A little history lesson on the creation of the first vaccines.

In case parents are concerned about the additional time they'll be spending on the screens because of the virtual schoolrooms these days. I know screens didn't hurt our kids at all. But we knew better than to let them have them in the privacy of their rooms and they had to use the computers in the computer area of the house where we all could see what they were doing. Consequently they learnt a lot even playing various games, some were intentionally educational and others were more for entertainment, but there were some exceptional games put out by Electronic Arts, like Sim City and the Sims that made them learn certain things. In fact I credit the Sims along with Lego blocks (not a program but the actual blocks) providing the interest in building and interior design that led to our son becoming an interior designer/architect and even a teacher in the subject as well. He loved building things with the blocks and virtually in 3d in the Sims 2 game, when he outgrew the blocks. It just all depends on what you allow your kids to do with the screens and where you allow them to take them as to the kind of harm or benefit they'll have on your kids.

Yosemite National Park turns 130 under COVID-19 limits and wildfire smoke advisories OMG This park is Beautiful! My husband took a picture of me standing next to the largest tree on earth there. He had to back up so far away so he could fit me and the entire circumference of the tree into the shot that I look like a little twig against the front of it.  I sure hope it survives the wildfires, but the park rangers there said that many of the huge pinecones that the sequoias drop can lay dormant on the ground for hundreds of years and only when there's a forest fire the pinecone will be forced open and the seeds will drop onto the ground and the ones that don't burn but manage to get into the ground and germinate will grow new baby sequoias. That they rely on fire for their continue existence, if memory serves me right.  Those trees are awesome.

I'm sure that goes equally as well for Canadians too.

Worldwide pandemic draining resources from Al-Hol camp If this is the camp set up to contain the ISIS brides and babies after the ISIS scum were captured or killed, I'm not sure why we should even care or concern ourselves with their problems.

Get a Flu Shot! I'm not usually a very big proponent of getting flu shots, but I actually think it might be a good idea this year. I'm even thinking of getting one myself.

They have time and room in the ORs for things like this but no time for cardiac or cancer related surgeries, huh?

The truth about CDC's Covid-19 death rate — and the conspiracies undermining it Actually NO! I take HUGE EXCEPTION TO THIS STATEMENT: Perpetuating the false notion that the virus is not serious or is only lethal to a select population is part of why we just reached one million deaths globally.

The MAIN PART OF THAT IS BECAUSE THE HEADS OF GOVERNMENTS WORLD WIDE LET THE VIRUS INTO THEIR COUNTRIES TO START WITH!!!!! I discussed this above in my description of my day. Any idiot with eyes and a half a brain cell in their heads should've been able to see what was going on in China and realize that if it got into their country it would do the same there too, and thus close their borders down to try their utmost to prevent that from happening. But nooooo they just stood by and watched it waltz in and take over their population. Here in Canada Tam and Trudeau actually welcomed it in with hugs and kisses and open arms because they didn't want to offend any Chinese people.  THAT, MY DEAR DELUDED JOURNALIST IS WHY THERE WERE A MILLION DEATHS WORLD WIDE. That coupled with the asinine way they handled things, which did more to collapse the economies than prevent the spread of the disease!

Police break up party with at least 1,000 attendees near Florida State University  Another one of those stories I talked about above.

Wow! Just wow! People risk their lives going to work to keep those scumbuckets businesses going during the pandemic and they deny them benefits?????? Wondering why anyone continues to work at those places then.

Virus, strife prompt 'resiliency' funds in Black communities It's good to see the US gov't finally doing something for the Black communities. Too bad they don't do more for them. It's not as if they don't deserve it. I think the way they've been treated over the centuries demands a huge restitution probably way more than that "resiliency fund" provides. So maybe now in these times when it's needed the most would be a good time for the US gov't to fork some of that restitution over to them in the form of money! So they could build better lives for themselves.

Due to coronavirus, nation's oldest Latino civil rights group moves 2021 convention online Something else going virtual on account of the virus. I really think we'd be hamstrung without the internet these days during this pandemic, if you ask me.

That's in the US, but maybe even here in Canada even with our medicare system we might start seeing a strain on that as well.

"Super healthy" Appalachian State student dies following COVID-19 complications People should take this as the example it's intended to be (scare em straight example), because there's exceptions to every rule. He might've appeared to be super healthy but he may have had an undiagnosed underlying illness that is the real cause behind this death.

Well, it looks like stores and brands that cater to the rich & famous, aren't doing very well either.

I'm sure Doug Ford had no qualms about getting his family together for Thanksgiving, while asking you to forego your own family Thanksgiving celebrations. It seems to me with the gov'ts these days it's " Do as I say, and Not as I do". Considering his original Thanksgiving plans and then announcing he'd be following the guidelines of the province.... Wondering if he actually did or not....

Mike Pence reportedly overruled the CDC on extending a cruise ship ban to 2021, the latest example of the White House sidelining expert advice in the pandemic I think the ban on those floating petri dishes should've been extended forever rather than having it overturned.

Too bad for the Chinese.

COVID-19 indoor transmission: Ways to prevent spread of COVID-19 at homes, offices caused by ventilation systems Wondering if air purifiers work as well? We have an air purifier, so I'm just wondering.

Maybe you should've given more money to seniors, the homeless, poor, and disabled, since it is their money to begin that you siphoned off of them in the form of taxes, that you're squandering hither and yon and throwing it at the world to try to make yourself look like a good guy to the rest of the world. There's still groups at home that need your help that you're practically ignoring.

Upsetting remarks? That's what you're worried about? If I were you I'd be more worried about what'll happen to you once the plandemic is over with and you're implicated in the mass murdering genocidal ash holes that have to stand a trial for crimes against humanity! Because that's what should happen to you and every other ash hole that let that virus into their jurisdiction! Because it wasn't rocket science and anyone with a half hour in med school would've KNOWN to CLOSE THE BORDERS to KEEP THE VIRUS OUT!!!!! The moment they heard about it on the news and what was going on with it in Wuhan!!!!!!!!!

Toronto long-term care home grappling with outbreak reports 42 active COVID-19 cases, including 1 death Of course. There weren't enough seniors killed off during the 1st wave, so they've got to make sure they finish what they started with this wave because who knows how many more waves they'll have before they manage to come up with a vaccine against it? IF they come up with a vaccine that is.

Anyhow I guess that's enough of my cynicism for the night.... Take care and stay well until the next time.
