This is just a quick post to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. As I intend to spend it with my husband, enjoying each other's company, I won't be posting anything today other than this message.

Here's hoping you find ways to enjoy the day with your sweetheart, despite all the restrictions, lockdowns and closures.

Maybe enjoying a nice romantic dinner at home, and may I suggest one of my all time favourite recipes to indulge in? It's a hot lobster sandwich which I believe was probably invented by the family that owned Harris' Seafood Restaurant in Yarmouth, Yarmouth Co., who I believe the author of this recipe may be a part of. Here's Clara Harris'  Nova Scotia-Style Creamed Lobster sandwich. Everytime I go to NS, I try to find a restaurant that makes this, because I haven't had this recipe before now. Up until now I've been using my own recipe based on guesses as to what's in it. While it was close it was no cigar as I didn't have the "secret ingredient" which is vinegar. Up until now I've been using sherry and experimenting with amounts of that to put in and never quite coming close to the original taste of this sandwich. Anyhow, now I have the recipe probably directly from one of the originators of it, considering that now this recipe is repeated all over the net using basically the same ingredients just different measurements. If you like lobster you'll love this recipe.

Followed by snuggling on the sofa together to watch a movie, with a glass of wine to toast your relationship together.

So forget about what's going on outside - and stay warm and cozy at home together enjoying the intimacy lockdowns and quarantines afford us - after all no one will be banging on the door looking to come in and celebrate with you so no interruptions in your plans and activities and you'll be able to give each other your full attention. You may not ever have another Valentines like this again.

So enjoy the day and your time together and until next time take care & stay well.
