 Covid 19

September 21,

Since I last posted in here, a ton of things have gone on around here. So much so, it almost felt like things were back to normal and there was no plandemic going on. So I doubt I'll manage to even remember it all, let alone post it in here, but I'll try.

Lessee if I can remember it all now.... Well I pretty much spent the entire day in the kitchen yesterday blanching food for freezing, things like brussels sprouts, cauliflower & asparagus. Plus I froze some other stuff without blanching it.

I spent a good part of the day worrying about my husband though as he wasn't feeling well and I didn't know what was wrong with him. All I could ascertain that it might be was a pinched nerve in his back, as  he has a rather rough time with his back - the vertebra seems to want to fuse together and there doesn't seem to be anything they can do about it apparently. Not even give him pain killers, because OMG he might get addicted - the man is in his 70s. So he gets addicted, so what? At least he'll have no pain and be in la-laland enjoying it. I mean they act as if we Canadians or at least Quebecers are supposed to emulate the part of our anthem that goes like this "True North STRONG & free" - "free" part I wouldn't know about but I do know that our medical establishment refuses to prescribe anti pain meds - especially in QC because the doctors are afraid of losing their licenses if they do. So people who are legitimately in pain and the quacks ought to be able to tell that by the test results and x-rays they see, should be able to get pain meds prescribed, but I guess we're supposed to be strong like the anthem implies. But despite the fact they have all results of the tests and xrays, they won't prescribe anything for the pain, until his back is 100% fused I guess.   It's just unreal. So I spend a large part of my time listening to him being in agony every time he moves, or as in the case of yesterday being afraid because I wasn't aware of the upper body tingling sensation, back problems could cause until then and I researched it online.

Anyhow one of our nice neighbours (not the other aforementionned neighbours in this blog, but other nice neighbours - well they're all nice really) brought a small but beautiful bouquet of flowers over to me, which I put in a vase beside our daughter's urn. Then last night we were treated to a beautiful sunset across the water. I especially love the sunsets we see around this time of year, here. They are some of the most vivid and bright we see all year around - the only exception being near the Spring equinox. Yeah the summer sunsets are beautiful too, but the autumn & spring equinox sunsets are the most beautiful in my opinion.  Then later on I spent time sitting near my husband in order to keep an eye on him, while we watched some pre-recorded shows.

Today I had to go to the bank to pay some bills and because of COVID19 we weren't allowed to return bottles much prior to this, so because of the fact we're placed in the orange zone and I can just see the authorities now with their itchy lockdown fingers on the lockdown button, we figured it was time to return all the bottles and cans we had here, before we can't again.  I took the opportunity to pick up some things we'll need soon and then came home and had BBQ'ed fish burgers and hamburgers for supper. Ummmm yummmm. 😋

Now that I'm here and all of my goings on have been posted, I might as well get to the  headlines as there's more than enough of them to try to get through. I'm beginning to think I'll never get caught up on them again. So sit back and start reading.

Discipline against bad doctors plummets amid COVID-19 – and more medical errors may slip through cracks It's been my experience that for a doctor here in QC to be disciplined they either had to neglect doing their paper work or have done something totally egregious to a patient, otherwise nothing happens to them. So I don't think here in QC anyhow, we can get less than that in discipline because less than that would be none.

Even here in Canada there was a news report on tonight that talked about how the natives were getting hit hard with this virus.

Rising coronavirus case counts a cause for concern, Tam says  Hey! You negligent genocidal witch! You have no one else to blame but yourself for this sad state of affairs and colossal loss of life here in Canada! You COULD HAVE PREVENTED IT IN THE BEGINNING! BUT YOU REFUSED TO! Instead you chose to sit idly by and let everyone and everything coming from China into this country EVEN THOUGH YOU KNEW ABOUT THE THEN EPIDEMIC GOING ON IN WUHAN CHINA & HOW BAD IT WAS! If you didn't you ought to have because everyone else I know knew and it WAS YOUR JOB & RESPONSIBLITY TO KNOW!!!! Despite that you let everyone and everything into the country and then knowing that all coronaviruses are respiratory viruses you insisted that we'll be alright if we only wash our hands, ALL THE WHILE KNOWING WE NEEDED TO WEAR MASKS. But you lied through your teeth and insisted oh no we don't need to worry just wash our hands and we'll be fine.  YOU & BOZO BRAINS TRUDEAU HAD A RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT US FROM THIS, BUT YOU DID NOT!!!!! AND IN FACT LIED ABOUT IT SEVERAL TIMES TO THE DETRIMENT OF THE HEALTH & WELL BEING NOT ONLY OF THE POPULATION BUT OUR ECONOMY AS WELL!!!!! Both you and bozo brains needs to be HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR WHAT YOU DID TO US & OUR ECONOMY!!!!!!!  So as I see it "The cause for concern" in this case, is you, & bozo brains' leadership on this whole issue! The art teacher aka Hajdu is way out of her element here and shouldn't even be Minster of Health, so she shouldn't even be included, but because she is the Minister of Health and adamantly wants to remain so, I think she should also be held responsible for negligent genocide.

Pandemic rules keeping terminally ill man from seeing family  I'm just wondering if this is a one way travel ban. If people from outside NB are being refused entry to NB, but NB has no  problems letting their citizens explore the rest of the country if they want to? If it's a one way travel ban, that would seem highly unjust to keep this man from seeing his family, if however NB'ers are forced to stay home and can't leave to go elsewhere either, then I understand and concur.

Wondering what the average cost at the other end of the province in the Yarmouth area is.

I guess I ought to be thankful that I got that 1 box of 250ml jars last week, because there weren't any out there today. As I've taken care of pretty much all of the food we had already except some garden greens that need to be blanched, and green tomatoes, which my husband wants me to make salsa with, now that I found the Bernardin salsa mix that he likes.

Canadians at crucial moment to get COVID-19 under control And it looks like we failed miserably considering the numbers are skyrocketing again. Apparently though this is the 2nd wave. I don't see how that could be though considering we never got out of the 1st one. They're saying this is the 2nd wave because of the high number of cases coming back, but like one guy on the radio pointed out today, Labour Day Weekend was just a couple of weeks ago and the number of cases we're seeing now are probably as a result of that. Which means it's a major resurgence of the 1st wave and not a second one.

Tips on maintaining your child's social life at school during a pandemic They're allowed a social life? How come? I thought we were all being forbidden social life including the kids!

Why are cops able to access a COVID19 (aka health records) database? What gives them the right or privilege?

Quebec unveils colour-coded regional alert system as cases climb And our area is already in the orange zone and  they're getting itchy lockdown trigger fingers it seems, so I assume there'll be a lockdown in the coming days.

Liberals extend commercial rent-relief program for last time Yup and it's still being applied the bassackward ways of the  Trudeau gov't's, where the landlord has to apply for it, instead of the business owner who's struggling to stay afloat. Which means if they have an oblivious or uncaring landlord they won't see any relief as the landlord won't even know or care to apply for it. Or if they have a landlord that just wants them out so they can raise the rent for a new tenant after they're gone they won't apply for it either. So the small business owner is screwed because of bozo brains and his way of doing things.

Mosul war victim struggles to make ends meet through pandemic Lots of people the world over are struggle so you have plenty of company. So don't feel so bad.

COVID-19 patients, families launch class-action lawsuit effort over Edmonton care home outbreak Good! There ought to be lawsuits for each and every person who died in those facilities across Canada! Go after whoever was responsible whether it was a private company or individual or the government. Don't let any of them off the hook for any of the deaths!

TIFF invites 500 frontline works to free 'Concrete Cowboy' screening That was nice of them to do that for the frontline workers.

Maybe in tropical or sub-tropical zones it probably is, but it's doubtful it is here in Canada where temperatures can range between +40C in the summertime to -40C/F (at that  temperature they're the same), in the wintertime.

Parliamentary budget officer says Canada's deficit 'unsustainable'  Oh oh it looks like Santa  Trudeau has already given away all the gifts in his bag, so now how's he going to bribe Canadians to keep him at the helm?

Really??? How come? I thought it would be a super safe event with all those people in close proximity and no masks like that! So how'd that happen? Ummmm duhhhh Really? Did we really need a news story to tell us this? I think it should've been obvious to anyone with a half a braincell in their heads.

Every day is the same: Americans more lethargic, less focused during COVID pandemic Well if Americans think everyday's the same during the COVID pandemic, they should try imagine living in a country with strict rules and regulations and lockdowns like Canada and see what they'd think then!

I think it's a little early in the game to be declaring that COVID can cause lifelong anythings considering it hasn't been around for a lifetime yet - unless we're talking a fruit fly's lifetime. So it's all just speculation at this point and the key word there is "can" as in "could". But you understand that those words just denote possibilities and not certainties, I hope.

Scientists Cast Doubt on Results From Russian Covid Vaccine It doesn't surprise me, given the rivalry between the American and Russian establishments, that American scientists would disparage the Russian vaccine, especially since they seemingly beat the Americans to it.

How do you look after a person that's supposed to be self-isolating? If they're self-isolating you shouldn't be anywhere near them and therefore not able to look after them.

SD governor criticizes study suggesting Sturgis bike rally led to 260,000 COVID-19 cases Considering there were almost a half a million people at that rally it's a wonder  it didn't lead to more cases than that.

This is just sad.

Coronavirus ‘marshals’ to enforce social distancing in towns and cities, PM announces What measures will they be taking? They don't specify in this article.

He should tell this to the billionaires & gazillionaires that have already profitted from it and continue to do so on a minute by minute basis.

Copycat websites, newly minted companies, double dippers cashed in on PPP loans  Where there's a free handout there's probably a thousand Howard Hughes dressed up as hobos with their hands stuck out ready to grab as much as they can for themselves.

So parents of toddlers let this be your warning to not try to travel anywhere with you toddler until they're fully mask trained.  This is just ridiculous as far as I'm concerned. I knew I didn't like WestJet before this story came out, now it's giving me even more reasons to not like it.

The question is, did they bring it in with them or did they contract it here in Canada?

We haven't even gotten through this one yet and you want us to prepare for the next one? How about we deal with one thing at a time, that way we're apt to be able to handle things better if we do.

British Airways passengers 'stunned' over cash refunds stand-off Air Canada is the world's master at stiffing paid clients on refunds they are entitled to, but aren't getting.

Testing sewage for COVID-19 could be 'early warning' system, Ontario researchers hope Lots of places have been using this method to see if certain diseases were in the vicinity or were incubating in people in the area. They started using this method back in the early 1900s in certain cities.

Well, it's time to say good night and wish you the best until next time..... Take care & stay well.
