Anddddd On It Goes

The Neverending COVID19 News

May 29, 2020

Having gone to the pharmacy today and talked to the pharmacist she told me something revealing. She said that the Quebec Association of Pharmacists put out in one of it's bulletins that there was a woman who had COVID19 and came to Quebec for the Christmas Holidays and it started spreading then (or the earliest case they know about). So she said she thinks I'm right about me having had COVID19 back in January (because I talked to her about it before, being unable to speak to my family doctor about it as she likes to take extended vacations to Romania - where she's from, so I couldn't see her after the holidays as she was still on vacation). Anyhow the pharmacist knew what I said about my symptoms, she also knows I was a nurse and so when she read that in a recent bulletin put out by the association, she said she believes I was right, that I did have it back when I said I had it. So that settles that then. I did have it. My husband even though he looked after me and was around me all the time I had it, didn't get it because a few months prior to COVID19 being unleashed on the world, our family doctor gave him a vaccination against viral pneumonia of all types (it's a one shot fits all for life kind of deal).

When I can find the name of the vaccine he was given against the viral pneumonia, I'll post it for other seniors to ask for if they haven't had it yet (the shot I mean and not the virus).

Now all I need is a test for antibodies to verify it once and for all and that's it.  So there's no more questions about was it here in early January, because we now know it was brought in around the Christmas holidays. Nice Christmas present to give Canadians eh?

Okay now on with the neverending stream of COVID19 news.....

Tourist businesses face make-or-break summer as visitors stay home I'm sure a lot aren't staying home out of choice, but more out of necessity (as in can't afford to go anywhere) or due to draconian restrictions.

Coronavirus 'cover-up' is China's Chernobyl: White House adviser Probably, given that only since they're being blamed and shamed and pressed on this, are they now admitting welllll they might've had a few more deaths than they said. I'm sure though it's a lot more than the few more they're admitting to, but we'll never find out for sure.

Why reopening Montreal is a riskier bet than Legault is letting on Maybe because it's one of the hottest spots in North America but he won't admit it?

Canadians With Disabilities Left Out Of Federal Coronavirus Pandemic Funding And seniors too, considering this was about protecting the seniors, so you'd think that would include protecting them from poverty and winding up on the streets due to not being able to pay the extra 21% interest rate charges tacked onto all their purchases they've had to make via phone or online since mid-March. Basically the piddly amount announced for the seniors recently isn't nothing more than another kick in the head for them. It kind of reminds of me of when we had our kids - peers to the brats in parliament, and we got $7 a month in family allowance for them, when just one box of Pampers diapers cost more than that. Now family allowances are in the thousands of dollars a month if they have more than a couple of kids with an additional $300 per kid thrown at them not just once during this pandemic but twice, a far far far cry from what we got to raise our kids. Seniors have been paying taxes all their lives and getting nothing back at all for anything ever, really. But yet everyone else except the disabled, homeless and seniors keeps sticking their whole heads in the tax payers trough slurping up as much as their greedy guts can hold, while leaving us seniors (who paid the most into that trough) out in the cold and looking on. So much for "protect the seniors". I guess they can't see that their actions speak louder than their words, when they hang the seniors out to dry every opportunity that they get.

Montreal fans struggle to get refund to postponed Elton John concert  Oh surprise surprise yet another entity that thinks it's financial woes are worse than everyday people's are - considering most of them lost their jobs and the amount of money Elton John gouges people for on a couple of tickets to see him play, would probably buy groceries for their family for a whole month. I'm getting so sick and tired of reading stories like this where the rich and powerful or at least richer than, don't want to give consumers back their money, while pleading poverty and hardship. What the hell (sorry about that but sometimes I just have to let it out) do they think the average person is going through right now? I wish there was a law somewhere that allowed governments to immediately seize all bank accounts and assets of companies that whined like this and refused to reimburse consumers who never got the services or goods they paid for due to the coronavirus, and used those funds and assets to reimburse the consumers on behalf of the whining no good for nothing companies who did that. That would stop this nonsense going on, like here and with the airlines and other such companies and services. Then they'd keep their greedy mouths shut and reimburse the people and get it over with. Then if need be plead poverty to the government afterwards if they could prove it. But don't make your paying clients be the ones to bail you out, it's not their fault a lockdown was declared or that you're losing money either. They had nothing to do with either and so shouldn't be responsible for paying for it.

Cellphone tower set on fire in Saint-Henri Another one who believes that theory about cellphone tower radiation and COVID19.

Accountability group calls for COVID-19 transparency, whistleblower protection A medical ombudsman should've been in existance forever or at least long before this virus came along, allowing for physicans to report other physicans because the way the College of Physicians is rigged is to protect all physicians and not necessarily to hold them to account. In most cases doctors are held to be above the law at the College of Physicians. So an ombudsman where you can go to report other physicians being a tad shady in their practices might cut down on a lot of problems. Problem number 1 that I can think of right off the bat to do with this particular pandemic is a doctor or doctors could've gone to that ombudsman to have Tam removed and stripped of her license when they saw that she wasn't responding correctly to the impending pandemic. Maybe then things wouldn't have been so bad, as they are now.

N.B. fears rising federal debt and sinking economy may squeeze poor provinces Oh it's not just the provinces that's going to get squeezed. It's everyone because he's made the federal debt skyrocket. On a previous page I have a link to the Canadian Debt clock posted.

Shoppers line up in downtown Montreal as retailers reopen to public  While the stores were closed, we desperately wanted them to reopen as my computer was broken and we needed a part for it, so my husband could fix it. But before they could reopen again he managed to work around so we don't need that part anymore, and got my computer working anyhow.

Newfoundland and Labrador offers $25M to support tourism sector through pandemic  So essentially they're supporting in province tourism and not to encourage tourists from out of province to go visit.

COVID-19: Can someone else use a family’s pool? Well regardless of what they say, a moose used someone's pool in Ottawa recently. That was a fun clip to see on the news. Something different besides the same old same old of COVID19 As per the news clip here; Moose in Ottawa Backyard Pool
We need a little levity every now & then in here, I think.

Calls grow for internet to be declared essential  I guess this stems from the "work at home" rule everyone's been under since COVID19 struck.

Doctors face pay cuts, furloughs and supply shortages as coronavirus pushes primary care to the brink  This is in the US. So I don't know if the situation in Canada is any better, worse or different.

'I'm looking for the truth': States face criticism for COVID-19 data cover-ups Same here. For instance why is the info about the COVID patient in December in Quebec being circulated only in a bulletin for pharmacists and not publicized elsewhere? Why are they still trying to hide it from the public anyhow? I mean that would certainly absolve them of any guilt to do with the borders, because in December we didn't even really know about it, so couldn't have taken actions to keep it out, because as far as we were concerned there was no such ailment in the world as COVID19 then.

More People Are Taking Drugs for Anxiety and Insomnia, and Doctors Are Worried hehehe.... Geez my husband and I are the exact opposite we need to take Wake Up pills to stay away otherwise we're dozing off everywhere all the time, we look like those glass cranes that bob for water in glasses of water, with our heads going up and down like that. I don't know what it is, but since this pandemic started we can't keep our eyes open. Maybe it's the monotony and boredom that's doing that, I don't know, all I know is we can't watch a show from start to finish without nodding off and then quiz each other on the parts we saw, so we can take what we saw with what the other saw and stitch it together to kind of make heads or tails out of it and maybe get most of the picture if not the full one.

Egypt’s doctors criticize government over virus ‘negligence’ The doctors in Canada aren't brave enough to do that even though there's no death penalty or lashes involved in criticizing our government.

Italian Leaders Threaten to Reimpose Restrictions After Sunshine Draws Out Crowds I think that's pretty much going to happen everywhere given how the masses behave together.

Ontario won't specify COVID-19 'hot spots' even as premier urges testing This is what I don't understand why governments won't do..... Is specify hotspots or danger zones for others to take note of and stay away from. It's almost as if they want people to wander into those places, totally unaware and then get it and spread it around in their communities. I mean I see no other reason for wanting to keep hotspots secret than that.

Bloc Leader Rips Liberals, Tories For Receiving Wage Subsidy It's not as though they need it. The pigs at the trough don't know when to quit and give others a turn, do they? Like maybe the seniors who've pretty much been ignored when it comes to helping them during this pandemic.

Alberta's United Conservatives among parties seeking COVID-19 wage aid More oinkers at the trough. Wondering when any of them will ever be "protecting the seniors" with financial aid...

Chinese media says Wuhan had live virus The Chinese themselves are saying this, not Pompeo or other "ill informed" Americans.

A Polynesian Paradise Sacrificed Its Economy to Stay Virus-Free And they were among the very few smart nations out there to do so.

COVID-19: Half of Canadians think their governments are deliberately hiding information Well as of today I officially know they are, considering the Quebec association of Pharmacists knows that there was a COVID19 patient in Quebec around the Christmas Holidays, but yet the gov't is acting like it only just arrived in March a couple minutes before they decided to shut down. Why won't they admit that it was here earlier than they thought? That's what I want to know.

Scared Americans Desperate to Travel Are Buying Up ‘Covid Campers. I hope then in that case the Americans are allowed to travel between states, unlike here in Canada where most provinces have closed their borders to everyone including other Canadians from other provinces.

Thousands still flying into Canadian airports amid COVID-19 restrictions Like I said we have unbelievably slow learners heading up our gov't here in Canada. They need to go through the whole thing several times before they learn anything apparently.

Husband of ReOpenNC leader says he’s ‘willing to kill people’ to fight government control I'm sure he's not the only one in the world that feels like that. I'm pretty sure there's a lot of people all over the globe that have pretty much had it up to their eyeballs and are now sick and tired of it to the point where they'll kill to get their rights and freedoms back.

As Covid-19 cases rise in 17 states, Americans still divided on whether masks should be mandated  Well I posted a link to a story on a previous page to a story about a study that pretty much demonstrated that surgical masks and homemade masks are useless. Only N95 masks and better (that being P100) are of much use protecting everyone from the virus.

The benefits isolation can have on your work I guess there's maybe a few positive sides to isolation and this one of them.

Hide the silverware: Plastic forks rule as restaurants reopen Until the virus is beaten, plastic utensils, paper/styrofoam plates & glasses/cups are the way to go for backyard BBQs too. Where the plates, and everything is stacked and the guests pick up their plates and come to the table where the food is served by the hosts (that way only one person is touching the serving utensils) and canned drinks are the refreshments offered. When guests are finished they clean up after themselves putting all their plates etc in the exterior garbage can. That way there's minimal contact with everyone else's potential germs and everyone's happy.

Thailand: Elephants on 'great migration' to survive coronavirus starvation It's even affecting the elephants in Thailand. As I keep saying there's so many different, takes, aspects and angles on this pandemic it's mind boggling sometimes.

Care home creates 'drive-through' visit Here in Canada in some cities like Ottawa and Halifax for instance, even looking in a patient's window was forbidden, so relatives couldn't even see their elders through closed and locked windows. So nothing so generous and thoughtful would be permitted here I don't think.

Armed with massive data pools, genealogy companies Ancestry, 23andMe begin COVID-19 research Wondering if that's even legal. If these companies have the right to use the DNA of people who paid for genealogical research. After all they never bought the DNA or DNA rights from those people, on the contrary it's my belief that the people paid them to run genealogical tests on their DNA and didn't sell them anything - no DNA & no rights to that DNA for research purposes.

Coronavirus: I was in the stay-home-until-it's-safe camp. But I just can't take it anymore. I'm sure more and more people are starting to feel this way too.

'Draconian'? 'House arrest'? Coronavirus lockdowns prompt raft of lawsuits against states I hope that there's grounds for Canadians to sue their governments over this too, because there was absolutely no need to put everyone under house arrest like they did.

Nail salons, tattoo parlors and barber shops are finding creative ways to keep earning cash I'm not so sure that Canadian equivalents have found ways to make money during this crisis.

New York's stock exchange reopens — with masks and a waiver  And here is what the story has to say about that waiver, copying & pasting verbatim:

Traders who go into the building will have to sign a waiver. While the Exchange is not making it public, The Wall Street Journal reported that it is an acknowledgement that returning to the floor could result in them “contracting COVID-19, respiratory failure, death, and transmitting COVID-19 to family or household members and others who may also suffer these effects.”

'Batman atmosphere': Mysterious lock picker opens parks across Paris at night  I guess someone wants to see others enjoying themselves.

These school bus drivers paid a touching tribute to their graduating seniors Very cool. Check out the pictures to see what I mean.

Drive-in cinema opening in Vaudreuil-Dorion during pandemic This might actually be fun. We haven't been to a drive-in movie since the early 80s and thought that they had all closed down back then.

Heat wave forces cities to rethink how to offer heat relief under COVID-19 Well they're doing an excellent job for the preteen crowds, the same ones that don't think they're too big or too old for the little plastic kiddy pools parents can put in their own backyards without needing to drag them to these splash pads in public parks. But failing miserably at helping anyone else with the heat, particularly the elderly.

COVID-19 disinformation being spread by Russia, China, say experts CBC.... The masters of spin and fake news - who I actually caught in the act of putting their own spin on events to suit their own agenda, so I would take whatever they have to say about this with a whole box full of salt, nevermind just a grain. They lie like a rug, as a matter of habit.

Be prepared for a different kind of camping experience this summer, say resort communities Essentially just realize that you'll be confined to your camper/tent/rv and won't be allowed to socialize with anyone. Your kids won't be able to play with others and no one will be allowed to go swimming even in the ocean. So essential just one miserable mosquito swatting (as your only source of entertainment) vacation, from all I've read about what campers will and won't be allowed to do.

Coronavirus Australia stats: Covid-19 active and new cases, numbers, map and data update The reason why I have this headlines is because the other day when we went to buy our air conditioner there was a man in line behind us who said he was from Australia and that he couldn't believe what was going on here and how different it was from Australia and that they had only 100 deaths so far. So I researched for their case/death rates to see and sure enough he was right. Now 3 days later their death rate has only increased by 3 and as I don't even bother to keep up with the Canadian numbers I have no clue what our death rate over the last 3 days was, but I know it was higher than 3, even just right here in QC alone it was higher than 3 that's for sure!

America's meat problems are about to get worse  Not just America's, but pretty much everywhere around the world, I think, from all the stories I've read.

CAMH survey looks at binge-drinking, financial anxiety during COVID How is this news? Or even a surprise? Since I was a little kid, we've known that stressed adults drown their troubles in the bottom of booze bottles. Not all adults but enough that it's cliche.

A third of Americans now show signs of clinical anxiety or depression, Census Bureau finds So it's not just Canadians feeling it, going by this story.

The Stock Market and Consumer Sentiment Are Telling Different Stories That sounds an awful lot like in 2008 after the crash and Wall Street got bailed out but the average American didn't.

Salaries Get Chopped for Many Americans Who Manage to Keep Jobs That just doesn't seem right. Why are their salaries getting chopped? Is this just another ploy for the rich to keep getting richer while the poor keep getting poorer? Seems like it probably is.

Sex workers offer to limit customers to two positions which 'minimise the risk of transmitting coronavirus' to enable brothels to end lockdown in Switzerland  Okay, what can I say? When we're told to stay 2 meters apart to cut down on transmission, apparently there in Switzerland the virus works under other distancing measures and not the 2 meter measure.

Wanted in Hollywood: COVID-19 consultants to help keep sets safe Maybe they should ask the Swiss, as they've managed to figure out a way that 2 people can have sex without transmitting the virus.

Bible verse warning against 'religious masks' exposed after Pope's Sunday mass Referring to something completely different than a disease.... Referring to religious hypocriscy (saying & preaching one thing while believing and doing something else). Like I said angles and aspects and if anyone can find any way to tie anything no matter how remotely related it might be, to coronavirus they will.

Germany clamps down on SINGING over coronavirus fears: Choirs are silenced and hymns banned at church services after warnings that it spreads infectious droplets  I have a German friend that sang/sings (haven't heard from him in a while now and he's older than I am) in a choir and he used to enjoy that a lot and very often sent me MP3s of their singing. They were quite good. If he's still alive (and I hope he is), he'll be very sad that choirs are banned now.

China Drafts Sovereign Immunity Bill to Fight Global Coronavirus Lawsuits Good for them, but unless that's a bill adopted universally I don't think other countries will care if they think they're immune or not, especially when they get hauled before the world court. It's doubtful their immunity bill will stand up there. Because if that's all countries would have to do everytime they're taken to the world court, they would and then they'd all get off with all their crimes scot free. So I don't think it'll do them much good.

An ‘Avalanche of Evictions’ Could Be Bearing Down on America’s Renters Here in Canada too, from all the things I've been hearing and reading, it's a good possibility.

Manitoba premier says cheques will be sent out to low-income disabled persons Well at least Manitoba is willing to provide more financial help to their disabled. I just hope it's not an insulting little pittance like the Feds gave the seniors recently.

Kahnawake, Kanesatake businesses remain closed despite Quebec reopening Does that include their cigarettes, weed & booze outlets too?

Some employees miss working in air-conditioned spaces as central Canada sizzles I guess that was one perk of working in offices - air conditioning, but honestly it's not all that expensive to buy a window air conditioner for the home.

Twenty-nine of Canada's 48 national parks to reopen to day-use visitors in early June So in other words they're open to local residents who've probably been there and done that so many times before, they couldn't care less if the park was open this year or not unless their livelihood depended on it.

Devastated by the pandemic, Canada's hotels make plans to reopen As no one is allowed to go anywhere and our borders are supposed to still be closed, who do you think is going to be staying at your hotels?

Drive-in grad ceremonies forced to revamp celebrations — again — due to new vehicle limitations What I'd like to know is which cruel inhumane SOBs make these rules anyhow? They're cars people and if everyone stays in their cars, there should be no danger of transmission of the disease between attendees.  I mean grow a freaking brain and some compassion too while you're at it, you power tripping idiots in charge! And they wonder why people have had enough and are revolting.... Ummmm duhhhh sure beats me.

Conservatives demand to know why Liberals didn't release military's report on care homes earlier  As with everything else to do with this virus they've taken their sweet time about it.

Global pandemic: Through the eyes of the world's children Another perspective on it. But I find it curious that those who this virus hits the most haven't been asked for their perspective on it. Instead it's almost like spectator viewing, watching what is happening to them, without asking them about how they feel and what they think of how they're being treated and if they think more could've or should've been done to help them. I'd be curious to hear directly from them, what happened to them and their horror stories that they could tell. Maybe what we've seen and heard is only half the real story. So maybe someone should be interviewing them for their perspectives as well.

Justin Trudeau says he'll take COVID-19 antibody test once available I'd love to, too, except I doubt I'll be allowed to because I can't prove that I had it (via medical records or anything like that), nor that I was in contact with someone who did.  But yet, I'm positive I have had it and would like to find out for sure.

Organized crime suspected of being behind COVID-19 phishing and counterfeit-equipment scams  Well they usually are behind things like that, so this is no stretch of the imagination.

Liberals, NDP vote to waive normal Commons proceedings during pandemic Well I for one vote to waive their salaries, expense accounts and pensions and not pay them a damned thing, since they're not earning it. It's like they plan on having a year long vacation at the taxpayers' expense. I don't think so, a sitting parliament is vital in a democracy to keep wanna-be dictators in check. So if they don't want to actually earn their money, expense accounts and pensions then they shouldn't be entitled to them. That's the way I feel.

Province issues first heat alerts — three weeks after snowfall warnings We didn't have snowfall warnings but last week we had cold temperatures where the daytime highs were like 10C to 15C and nighttime lows of -2C - which was not great for planting. Then whoops suddenly we're in hell and unless we want to die of heat stroke this isn't exactly planting weather either. So as a result my garden at least is only 3/4s planted.

COVID-19 aid programs will have to end, others to be modified, Trudeau says  Oh but I bet the aid programs that allows the gov't parties and members to partake of, won't be ending any time soon. Not until there's a nice uproar over it, probably.

Trudeau Suggests Federal Election Call Off Table Amid COVID-19 Pandemic  The little wanna-be dictator can suggest whatever he wants but if the other parties calls a non-confidence vote (which I hope they do soon), and the Liberals fail, then he won't have much choice in the matter.

Fredericton looking for 'pandemic-related' art proposals Really? Who would want to remember such gloomy and draconian times as these via art? It's bad enough that things posted on the net never gets removed, so whatever stories were ever posted about it online and blogs like this etc, will forever be online or in massive online archives somewhere. It's like the Germans wanting someone to do art commemorating the Nazis and their atrocities.

'We're trying to survive': Seniors grow frustrated over slow rollout of COVID-19 financial aid Hallelujah! This is what I've been saying for months now and the media is only just now cluing in. Even if it is that they're only cluing into the fact that the promised funds haven't been received yet. Although they did talk to a lady in the story that emphasized the expenditures she's had and the fact that the money promised won't cover anywhere near all of it and that much more is needed. And I don't see why they can't get much more after all everyone & their dog can get $2,000 a month and parents who have kids are getting their regular family allowance of $400 & $500 per kid per month, with an additional $600 per kid thrown in on top of that, that's besides their own salaries they're making or the $2,000 CERB  benefit (if both parents are getting that, then that's $4,000 plus all the rest of the money for the kids they get per month and the nice $600 COVID19 bonuses per kid as well). While the seniors have a piddly little $1,000 or so per month and when or if they ever see that money they promised an additional 1 time payment of maybe $500 or maybe it's only $300 and they definitely have much more expenses and bills to pay than 3 year old brats do. So I don't see why they can't even get the same amount a 3 year old brat gets for staying home picking his nose and throwing his mega blocks around the house and pulling the dog's tail and ears.

Legault asks that 1,000 military staff remain in Quebec's long-term care facilities until Sept. 15 Oh boy, Legault is going to have to explain those salaries to QC's nurses, since that's what a lot of them are making per hour now - $26.00. And I know my daughter inlaw had to go to college for a lot longer than 3 months to get her license and qualify for that $26.00 an hour salary, so I don't think she'll be pleased about that, when she finds out.

The world sacrificed its elderly in the race to protect hospitals. The result was a catastrophe in care homes Oh the elderly were sacrificed for a lot more than just the hospitals. They were sacrificed in order to collapse the economies, to introduce free money or a basic income as they call it, for depopulation purposes, for the NWO's 1 world government probably (and our prince bozo thinks he's going to be the head of it I guess). And probably a ton more nefarious reasons that I'm not diabolical enough to think of.

Opinion: Why your Social Security check could feel a lot smaller next year I'm sure it's not just the Americans social security checks that will be or at least feel smaller next year, I'm pretty sure the Canadian's OAS checks will be or feel equally light.

Sweden has the highest daily coronavirus death rate in the world – and it’s getting worse Well I guess they've overtaken Brazil & the US for that distinction and to think a couple of weeks ago a minister from Sweden was on Trevor Noah's Daily Distancing Show bragging about how well they were doing with no lockdowns.

Quebec schools see spike in COVID-19 cases as Ontario eyes regional reopenings I guess we're finding out now that kids can get and carry COVID19, aren't we? Too bad it had to be this way making it so that so many more kids get it as well.

Trudeau, allies call for global unity at UN summit on pandemic recovery They're colluding on a recovery to make it uniform across the world.... So what do you want to bet they didn't collude on the lockdowns and the rest of it? Like I said this was engineered & orchestrated from the get go.

Coronavirus response a 'massive policy screwup' but not Trump's fault: Niall Ferguson Of course not because this was a PLANdemic, it was planned and orchestrated by the world's powers and it was irrelevant whether he wanted to go along with it or not. Maybe that's why he's acting so cavalier about it, because he knows it's mostly a scam to crash economies and implement something new like a basic income, maybe a new currency, new laws, new 1 world government, etc.

20 things that have gone wrong in 2020, so far  These are mostly things gone wrong on the Asian continent, but it might change your perspective on how hard we've had things here.

'Two-tiered health:' Manitoba premier wants PM to clear up rules on powwows What's so hard to understand about 2 meters apart, wearing masks, and no more than 10 people in a gathering if you're in QC? Elsewhere follow the rules of the province. Or as you claim you're your own nation make up your own rules that would apply to all natives country-wide.

Deaf mum inundated with orders after designing face mask that enables people to lip read Not only does it allow lip reading but to see the expressions on people's faces, like smiling, frowning etc... But because of the way they're made I think they're a little creepy looking. If the clear plastic is taut enough so that it doesn't smother the wearer, perhaps totally clear masks would be nicer looking.

Does China really want war? As if the coronavirus they gave us wasn't enough now they want war with the US? And probably Canada too, since they seem to love us so much.

‘This is Star Trek Finance’: COVID-19 forces Canada’s banks into a strange new world Hmmm I'm not the be all and end all trekkie, but I'm not sure they had "finance" per se. I think it was more like they operated on a credit basis. Not credit as in loans, but as in you did something to merit this and so you have so many credits that you can put towards it if you want.

Pregnant woman unknowingly loses baby while COVID-19 prevented ultrasound It's not only the people with the virus that are suffering, there's lots of people with other problems out there that are suffering too, but are not being attended to, because for some reason COVID19 takes precedence over all other illnesses and deaths. A death is a death whether it's related to COVID19 or not, and if it was preventable if seen by a doctor and treated in time, but they couldn't or wouldn't see and treat that person because they were too busy trying to save a COVID19 patient that died anyhow, then that's 2 deaths for COVID19 and not just that one. That's how the true measure of death should be done - the COVID deaths and the deaths that didn't necessarily have to end in death if it was treated, but wasn't because of the pandemic.

Thousands of elderly people 'may have isolated unnecessarily' during lockdown I'll agree with that. Life is short for all of us, but particularly the elderly because the older you get, the less time you have. So you should live your life to it's fullest for whatever time you have left rather than stay couped up in a small room by yourself for what could potentially wind up being the rest of your life. No one says you should go out partying on the beach in a huddle with a few hundred other people, but there's nothing wrong with seeing others and talking to others and even sitting on opposite sides of the livingroom to watch a TV show together or to talk. Here in Canada prisoners put into solitary confinement for longer than a couple of weeks, is deemed to be cruel and inhumane punishment, but yet they're asking the elderly to go into solitary confinement for a few months. In Canada when wardens put those prisoners in solitary confinement the prisoners usually sued for and got a very large settlement - in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. So imagine how much Canada and all the other countries around the world who imposed that cruel and inhumane punishment on innocent elderly taxpaying voters could get if they sued their respective countries? Personally, I'd love to see that happen. It would serve the governments right.

Professor warns against 'really dangerous' barbecues as coronavirus lockdown measures are relaxed Obviously the guy is a nitwit. BBQs are easy to handle via the pandemic while observing all safety precautions. Use paper plates, disposable plastic utensils,  & canned drinks or bottled water. Everyone picks up their own paper plate from a stack of them (being careful not to touch others), and the utensils can be wrapped in a napkin (fork, spoon, knife) and each guest picks up the set with the napkin. The host serves the food using the serving utensils exclusively - in other words the serving spoons, forks and tongs are used by one person and only one person - the host and they never ever touch the serving end of the utensil - which touches only the unserved food. When everyone's finished eating they put all of their stuff into the garbage can that's outside, themselves. (We all have one now, they're called black boxes). Et voila.... Besides I don't see the paranoia over your friend or brother-in-law touching things like plates and glasses, but you have no qualms about people in stores touching things and then you go and pick it up and buy it and the cashier and the bagging boy also touches it. I mean have you watched people in  grocery stores? They touch everything and half the time they don't take it, they put it back on the shelf where they picked it up from in order to take pictures of it with their cellphone or to read the label before deciding they don't want it and put it back. So if you can go buy groceries knowing that someone you don't know and never met before in your life and maybe several someones at that, touched that product and probably every other product you bought and come home and use them, then you shouldn't have a problem with someone you know and can talk to to find out how they are and if they've had any health problems lately or not. I mean there's insane paranoia and then there's over the top insane paranoia and this is over the top if you ask me.

Covering COVID19

Some More...

May 28, 2020

There never seems to be any let up in the amount & variety of news this virus has generated.

One of the recent stories though that I want to get to first as it's probably of urgency to a lot of seniors forced to endure this current heatwave we're having in southwestern Quebec and that is of air-conditioning. The other day I mentioned some inexpensive air conditioners available at Canadian Tire in the region, but I realize that not everyone can afford them, despite how inexpensive they are and that free is a much better and more affordable price. So tonight while listening to Montreal at Six news on CTV, Mitsumi did a segment on free air conditioners being given out to seniors, I took note of the story here: Keeping Seniors Cool With AC Donations  and of the place where the girl has an online application site where any senior over 65 who needs an air conditioner but can't afford one, can put their name in to apply for one. Just visit: AC For Seniors and fill in their online form - it's a bilingual site so French people can also apply for one.

People who have functioning air conditioners that they no longer need or want can donate them to either of the 2 organizations - the AC For Seniors organization that supplies individual seniors with free air conditioning units,  or the other one mentioned in Mitsumi's segment, that supplies the seniors residences and long term care facilities with free units for the rooms in those type buildings. So if you have an air conditioner that's still working that you would like to donate please contact them, it'll be for a good cause, I'm sure.

Toronto officials condemn 'dangerous' behaviour of people who packed park  They should've left the picture/s there that went with story because as they say a picture is worth 1,000 words. Anyhow if you didn't see it and aren't aware of this story, there were massive crowds in the park with large groups huddled together on the grass, with barely any distance in between them. Like they would've been any other year on a nice day like the few nice days we've had recently.

'Canary in the coal mine:' Meat industry says more safety coming with COVID-19 People are acting like deadly contagious viruses like this are going to strike us all the time from now on and are forgetting that the last virus of this magnitude was 102 years ago that it struck. And honestly I don't see any company any where in the world carrying on with such extreme measures from now on unless there's a need for them. And I would hazard a guess and say that after this virus has petered itself out, it'll be at least a few decades if not another century before we see another one of this magnitude. So are they saying they'll never remodel, never change their way of doing things, never upgrade and will remain with this paranoid rigging for the rest of their company's existance? Because I find that hard to believe, because usually whenever something new comes along, that's either more efficient, saves money, or even more aesthetic and pleasing to the eye (ergonomic or not sometimes), they'll be jumping on those band wagons as soon as they can afford to do so. Because after all it's imperative to most companies to appear to be keeping up with the times at least.

‘Up to a Dozen’ COVID-19 Variants in the United States Well that right there is your answer to will they ever have a viable vaccine available to prevent this virus from infecting you..... Given that vaccines usually only work against the variant used to make the vaccine with, if there's over a dozen variants you'll need a vaccine with all of those strains in it, or 12 different vaccines available and that's assuming no more strains emerge.

France to retaliate over British quarantine measures Oh here we go, playing tit for tat with this pandemic. It's not enough that people are suffering enough and have had enough already huh? They have to play politics with it too, to make even more peoples lives miserable on account of their petty squabbling?

Coronavirus is taking 'different path' in Africa due to age differences yeah and also - directly quoting the article here via a copy & paste:

"Africa is the youngest continent demographically with more than 60% of the population under the age of 25. Older adults have a significantly increased risk of developing a severe illness. In Europe nearly 95% of deaths occurred in those older than 60 years", the WHO added.
The global health body also highlighted that African governments swiftly imposed restrictive measures on their populations in attempt to curb the spread of the virus.
And despite "significant progress in testing", rates of testing in Africa remain low in comparison to other countries.

So it's not just age demographics at play here, it's also due to the way they handled it, and in most countries that involved shutting the borders down to incoming travellers.

If western countries had've done the same, we'd probably have the same or similar results but no, like I said this was a coordinated effort between them and for the longest time I couldn't figure out why they'd want to crash all their economies simultaneously.

Given the announcement that Trudeau wants to work with the UN to coordinate a global economy recovery plan, I think I know why African did what they did and why we did what we did.....
If we have a global restructuring of the economy it means we have to have a level playing field to start from. So we have to do a couple of things - one is crash the affluent societies down to a certain level while raising the most impoverished societies (think Somalia and Bangladesh as examples) to a certain level, but it's best if we don't also cause their already subsistence economies to sink even further to start with, so that when the new economic measures come into play we're all on a more or less level playing field. Especially if a 1 world currency is introduced that is valued the same in all countries. So one UN Eagle (maybe, probably from the junk I've seen and read over the years), might be equivalent to 5 cents Canadian (hence the reason we got rid of the penny). So whatever is being sold for 5 UN Eagles anywhere in the world will be able to be purchased anywhere in the world without it costing anyone more (as in exchange rates) than someone else somewhere else in the world. Is that what's happening? I don't know, all we can do is wait and see, but it seems to me that that's probably the only logical reason this was done like this.

A cluster of coronavirus cases was reported in Arkansas after a swim party Hmmmm.... Wondering why. If that swim party was anything like all the other outdoor parties this past weekend, where everyone was huddled around and on top of everyone else there, I think we know why....

China's Wuhan says conducted 1,146,156 COVID-19 tests on May 23 It's been months since this pandemic has been ravaging Canada, but we still haven't even done half that many tests even if you combine all of them done right across the country, I don't think. So doing that in one day would be an impossible feat for us apparently. But if we could've done that our entire population would've been tested at least 2x over already.

Lockdown saved no lives and may have cost them, Nobel Prize winner believes I am inclined to believe him, because as I've said about a hundred times before, this is not how quarantines are done. You quarantine the sick & their contacts and not the healthy. You leave them alone to live their lives and continue working to keep the economy going. But as we will see when I get to that article in question, this was probably all orchestrated from the beginning because now Trudeau and another one from the UN wants to lead the coordinated economic recovery. Imagine putting Mr. Spendthrift in charge of economic recovery especially when he has a hard time to do grade 2 arithmetic and can't figure out the total of 2 plus 2 without a calculator and Sophie's help.

Ontario churches, mosques and synagogues open for drive-in worship this weekend amid COVID-19  Another sign of the times, I suppose but honestly I just can't see why anyone would subject themselves to sitting in stifling hot cars (no sense in running air conditioners if you need the windows open to hear the sermons) to worship. There's plenty of places in the Bible where it says that where you are God or Jesus is and there's no need to go to a church to pray or worship.

The Pandemic Is Exposing the Limits of Science I wouldn't doubt it. Half the time I think "scientists" have no clue what they're talking about or doing and over time many of their theories & methods have been disproven, in all sorts of disciplines.

2/3 Of Canadians Want Government To Take Over Long-Term Care: Poll In Quebec especially because they've let the elderly subsist in deplorable and unsafe conditions for decades now. Personally I think all of those death camps should be closed period. And the government should provide in home support for the elderly so they can live safely and peacefully at home until the end of their lives. Now whether that home is a home of their own, where they live by themselves or with their spouse, or with extended family - either way the government should provide financial and professional in home support for them, with regular checkups by medical professionals (if needed), and funds to cover home renovations to accomodate them better and to cover the costs of whatever equipment they may need etc. It would be much more beneficial to the senior and probably cost a lot less in the long run by doing it that way. That way there wouldn't be any large buildings to heat, cool, and maintain. There wouldn't be any need for auxillary staff like orderlies, receptionists, etc. It would be more akin to the VON (Victorian Order of Nurses) where nurses would make regular rounds to visit their patients and help them and if need be have doctors check up on them as well. And if extended relatives are keeping the senior in their home with them, some form of financial help given to those people at least as an incentive to keep the senior there with them and look after them. That's what I think should be done. But those death camps all need to be closed down.  As for seniors suffering from strokes and other debilitating problems that relatives can't cope with, those seniors should be kept in convalescent hospitals or convalescent wards of main hospitals, and not relegated to those horrible death camps ever again.

Compared to other public supports for political parties, the wage subsidy is a drop in the bucket  Is this meant to make us not feel so angry for being taken advantage of by them yet again? Because if it is, it's not working, at least not with me. All I see are pigs at the tax payer's trough again, for the millionth time in my life and now I'm just sick of it, especially when I see so many seniors out there that can barely get by and they're getting basically ignored during this time, while everyone has their heads stuck so far down in the taxpayer's trough (which belongs mostly to the seniors as they're the ones that have contributed to it the longest and perhaps the most, while getting the least from it in return, throughout their entire lives and not just during recent events - which continues to hold true here too), they are probably drowning in it, if not choking on it, such gluttonous pigs, they are.

Will COVID-19 Wipe Out the Tribes of the Amazon? I sure hope not. We've lost so many indigenous peoples to history, that it would be a shame to lose other ones if we can stop it.

Return to sender: passengers sent back after arriving at Yellowknife Airport And that's precisely what all provinces should've been doing since January. Sending everyone trying to get into our respective provinces from anywhere else in the world, back home. Then we wouldn't be in the mess we're in. But like I said this was planned and orchestrated right down to the very day to initiate lockdowns, because they all did it literally within 24 hours of each other world wide. So if that wasn't planned and orchestrated, then I don't know what is.

Coronavirus: Americans flock to beaches on Memorial Day weekend More pictures that speak louder than words posted here too.

Coronavirus: Britons urged to 'use common sense' as beaches and parks packed on hot Bank Holiday Monday euuuu boy.... More pictures that just screams outbreak coming, outbreak coming, lockdown, lockdown now and stay down forever....

Alberta recommending face masks, but not enforcing their use as economy relaunches Given how useless the surgical masks and homemade ones are, it's useless to recommend them unless they have N95 masks for everyone out there. Otherwise it's pointless to wear those other masks in this heat and for what? To make it harder to breath and cause you to sweat more? Because that's about all they'll do.

Check for COVID-19 symptoms over next 2 weeks, medical officer urges Trinity Bellwoods crowd - actually they should be told to self-quarantine for the next two weeks and when/if they have any symptoms, to extend their self quarantine for 2 weeks from the date the symptoms appeared.  Not told to "check for symptoms over next 2 weeks" while being allowed to saunter around spreading it hither and yon, if they have it but don't know it yet.  Yeah I get it. You need it to operate like that to ensure you have all those extra cases so you can use that as an excuse to throw all the rest of us into lockdown again (but hey you'll be ripping us off of half the time we should be allowed out of quarantine - that being 30 days - 2 weeks is 1/2 of that, so if you decide to lock everyone down again because of the symptoms showing in 2 weeks, we'll have only had 2 weeks out of quarantine before we get thrown back in again). Oxford formula was 50 days quarantine and 30 days off for good behaviour.

Economic shock from COVID-19 to lead to higher indebtedness, Poloz says  You don't say? Imagine that! That's just unimaginable!

Quebec's public health director hands over figurine gift for COVID-19 leadership How come he has to hand the figurine over when he didn't ask for it, and didn't give any favours or anything in exchange and he earned it, while Tony Clement was allowed to keep the gift basket given to him by the firm that was busy trying to avoid paying taxes in Canada? Doesn't seem fair that a sleeze bucket like Tony Clement can keep a gift basket that contained what, we don't know, as it was covered over (could've had a few gold bars or coins in it at least for all we know and not merely chocolate coins either) and he can't keep a figurine that was made specially for him for the job he's been doing in QC.

Brazil BRF meatpacking plant hit with more than 300 coronavirus cases  Are they also using this virus to get meat off the menu around the world too? Because judging by our local grocery fliers for the week, it sure seems like it. The prices are insane. So it seems to me they're trying to cause a meat shortage (because of cow farts and CO2 in the environment - seriously folks cows emit more carbon dioxide than most things according to the vegans and vegetarians and they ought to be removed from the face of the planet - in other words eradicate all livestock animals from the face of the earth because their farts are way more lethal than all the wild animals farts are apparently - that includes the elephants and hippos farts too apparently). So this virus seems to be playing very nicely into their hands.  But I guess they don't realize their brains are addled from lack of B12 which is basically only available via meat sources. Oh what can I say? It just seems like all the vegans, vegetarians, environmentalists, 1%'ers  and depopulationists are finally having their dreams come true through this virus, as it's accomplishing everything for them.  Meanwhile the rest of us have to stay under house arrest until they accomplish their nefarious end goals. 👅

WHO warns of 'second peak' in areas where COVID-19 declining  Well given all the park and beach scenes over the past week, I can believe that easily. In fact it'll be amazing if there isn't a 2nd peak.

Most Canadians Want The U.S. Border To Stay Closed Longer During Coronavirus Pandemic: Survey  Personally I think all of our international border entries should be closed and not just the physical one on the ground to the US. I mean why do we continually let people into the country from everywhere while we're fighting this virus? Didn't anyone anywhere in government learn anything the first time around?
